Rockstar Games is reportedly spending $975,000 to bring a piece of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) marketing to the heart of Miami, with a massive “Welcome to Vice City” sign now installed on the roof of the Kaseya Center.

The giant lettering, lifted into place by a helicopter, is part of the company’s promotional push for the highly anticipated game. But the installation is drawing attention for more than its size. The reported agreement could keep the Vice City sign above the Miami Heat’s home arena until April 2027, extending the campaign well beyond GTA 6’s November launch.

According to Miami Herald journalist Doug Hanks, Miami-Dade County is expected to collect $975,000 from Rockstar under the marketing agreement for the installation.

GTA 6’s Welcome to Vice City Sign Lands at Kaseya Center

The “Welcome to Vice City” sign was recently installed on the roof of the Kaseya Center, the Miami arena that serves as the home of the Miami Heat.

The installation had been building anticipation among fans, who watched the lettering take shape over several days. The final structure was transported to the arena’s roof by helicopter, turning the installation itself into a notable moment in GTA 6’s marketing campaign.

The reported $975,000 payment to Miami-Dade County makes the installation a significant promotional investment. The agreement also highlights Rockstar’s use of real-world locations to build excitement around a game set in a fictionalised version of Miami.

Rockstar’s Miami Marketing Plans Could Go Beyond the Sign

The Kaseya Center installation may be just one part of Rockstar’s broader promotional plans for GTA 6.

The company reportedly held discussions with Miami officials in August about potential marketing activities across the city. Those conversations included possible events and even a potential takeover of the airport.

However, the discussions do not confirm that these additional activities will take place. Rockstar has not confirmed further details about its reported Miami marketing plans.

For now, the Vice City lettering at the Kaseya Center stands as a visible part of the game’s promotional campaign.

GTA 6 Sign Could Remain Until April 11, 2027

The duration of the installation is another notable detail in the reported agreement.

Documents reviewed by IGN reportedly state that the sign will remain on the arena for the latter of one year after installation or until the final Miami Heat home game of the 2026-27 season.

That game is scheduled for April 11, 2027. If the agreement follows that timeline, the Vice City sign could remain on the Kaseya Center well into next spring.

The documents also reportedly set October 15 as the deadline for installing the lettering. While that date could become another point of interest for GTA 6 fans, Rockstar has not announced any associated event or promotional reveal.

GTA 6 Release Date Remains November 19

The Miami installation comes ahead of the scheduled launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19, 2026.

The game is set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. With the Vice City sign now in place, Rockstar’s reported marketing agreement gives the upcoming release a prominent physical presence in Miami, while the possibility of additional citywide promotions remains unconfirmed.

For GTA 6 fans, the most striking part of the deal may be its timeline: a sign promoting a November release could remain above Miami’s Kaseya Center until the spring of 2027.
