Delhi-based carry-first streetwear brand Indian Walker has raised its first institutional funding round at a post-money valuation of Rs 20 crore, marking an early milestone in its plans to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its direct-to-consumer (D2C) business.

The company secured an undisclosed amount in the pre-seed round from Palette Wealth Management (PWM). Indian Walker is part of CoFounder Circle (CFC) Venture Studio, a consumer venture studio founded by entrepreneur Darpan Sanghvi.

The funding comes as Indian Walker looks to build on the sales of its backpack range, expand its core categories and prepare for a wider presence across online marketplaces.

Indian Walker to Expand Inventory and Level Up Collection

Indian Walker plans to deploy the fresh capital towards inventory, expanding its existing product categories and introducing new stock-keeping units (SKUs) under its Level Up collection.

Founded in 2025 by Md. Sakib, the Delhi-based brand focuses on backpacks and other carry products designed for everyday commuting. Its offerings fall within the mid-premium segment, with its core backpack range priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000.

The company’s Level Up collection, led by its Stride backpack, has sold more than 10,000 units since launch, according to Indian Walker.

The brand is now looking to build on that traction by expanding its product range while strengthening the operational capacity needed to support its next phase of growth.

Rs 100 Cr ARR Target Within 24 Months

Indian Walker has set an ambitious growth target for the next two years. The company aims to achieve Rs 100 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) over the next 24 months while building a customer base of more than one lakh.

To support these plans, the brand intends to expand its core team, with hiring priorities across marketing, social media and operations.

The funding will play a role in supporting these expansion plans, particularly as the company prepares to broaden its sales channels beyond its own website.

From D2C Website to Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra

Indian Walker currently sells its products through its direct-to-consumer website. However, the company plans to expand its distribution network by entering Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra in the next quarter.

It is also exploring quick commerce and other marketplace channels as part of its broader distribution strategy.

The planned expansion would give the brand additional avenues to reach customers beyond its existing D2C platform. At the same time, the company is looking to increase its product selection through new SKUs and a wider range of carry-focused offerings.

Streetwear Brands Continue to Attract Investor Interest

Indian Walker’s funding round comes amid investment activity across India’s streetwear and contemporary fashion market.

The segment includes brands such as Bluorng, Huemn, Six5Six, Almost Gods, Gully Labs, The Souled Store and Freakins, which operate across different parts of the country’s fashion and lifestyle market.

In related funding activity, Snitch raised around Rs 340 crore ($40 million) in a round led by 360 ONE Asset last year.

Gully Labs secured Rs 30 crore in a Series A funding round in January 2026, led by Saama Capital, with participation from Zeropearl VC. Meanwhile, D2C denim brand Freakins had previously raised $4 million from Matrix Partners India, Blume Ventures and other investors.

For Indian Walker, the pre-seed investment provides an initial institutional capital base as it looks to scale its backpack business, expand its marketplace presence and work towards its Rs 100 crore ARR target.
