Gurugram-based home décor and lifestyle brand The Artment has raised ₹10 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The round also saw participation from the Siyaram Family Office, ESV, Capitar Ventures, and several individual investors. IPV made the investment through its international arm using the GIFT City route, marking a significant moment for the brand’s growth and expansion strategy.

Before this round, The Artment had secured $527,000 (around ₹4.4 crore) in its seed stage from Harshit Poddar and other investors. That early investment helped the company strengthen its foundation, scale its product lines, and expand its digital presence.

Where Art Meets Everyday Living

Founded in 2019 by Aditya Agarwal and Aanchal Agarwal, The Artment was born out of a shared passion for art and design. The sibling founders envisioned a brand that could make art-inspired products accessible to Indian homes, bringing creativity, elegance, and individuality into everyday living.

The company offers a wide range of artistic home furnishings, including dining décor, lighting, wall art, and furniture, all inspired by different art movements such as Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, and Impressionism. Every collection reflects a thoughtful balance between aesthetics and utility, helping customers design spaces that feel personal and refined.

From being an online-first brand, The Artment has evolved into a hybrid player by venturing into offline retail partnerships, including luxury showcases at Taj Hotels. This move has allowed the brand to connect with a premium audience that values both craftsmanship and experiential retail.

Fueling Expansion With Innovation and Insight

The newly raised funds will be directed towards expanding product categories, investing in technology, and strengthening distribution channels. A major focus will be on Art Lab, The Artment’s proprietary data platform designed to understand consumer preferences and predict emerging design trends.

By analysing data on shopping patterns and aesthetic choices, Art Lab helps the brand make informed decisions about what designs to launch and when. This data-driven approach gives The Artment an edge in a competitive market, allowing it to combine creative intuition with measurable consumer insights.

The company also plans to expand its offline presence by exploring pop-up formats and partnerships with high-end retail destinations in major cities. These efforts aim to bridge the gap between digital convenience and physical experience, giving customers a complete feel of the brand’s artistic essence.

Riding the Momentum in India’s Home Décor Market

The timing of this expansion aligns perfectly with India’s fast-growing home décor market. As incomes rise and urban lifestyles evolve, more people are investing in interiors that reflect personal taste and comfort. According to market estimates, India’s home and living segment is valued at approximately $3.7 billion and growing at an annual rate of around 15%. About 12% of these sales currently take place online, a figure that continues to increase with the growth of e-commerce and digital discovery platforms.

This shift toward aesthetic and functional living spaces has created fertile ground for brands like The Artment, which blend global artistic influences with Indian sensibilities.

Building a Brand That Balances Art and Profit

What makes The Artment stand out is its ability to combine creativity with financial discipline. The company is EBITDA positive, which means it operates profitably before accounting for taxes and other costs, a rare feat for a young lifestyle startup.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ brand also has a repeat customer rate of about 20%, which is a very good indicator of the customer’s trust and satisfaction. Their supply chain goes back to India’s traditional handloom and handicrafts hubs like Moradabad, Khurja, Firozabad and Jodhpur, the places where artisans and manufacturers make the brand’s designs come to life. With this integration, The Artment is able to keep product quality, help local craft and guarantee delivery on time.

By the company, the target is to have an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of ₹100 crore within six months. Although this is a very ambitious goal, it is in line with the increasing traction, product diversification and distribution network ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌widening.

A Creative Future Fueled by Data and Design

At its core, The Artment represents a new generation of Indian brands, those that merge artistic vision with analytical precision. Its creative collections appeal to customers emotionally, while its use of technology through Art Lab ensures that design decisions are guided by real-world insights.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ story of the brand till now is a perfect example of how art and business can go hand in hand. The Artment is not only merging the old with the new to form a new design movement in India but also making art an integral part of people’s homes and daily lives rather than restricting it to the galleries.

The Artment, with its additional investment and focus, is ready to introduce more creativity, practicality, and feeling into the places that people refer to as their homes, thus giving a clear indication that the union of art and data is not for the mere decoration of homes but for their ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌revolution.
