Two Point O Capital (TW.O), an AI-powered clean energy infrastructure platform, has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Transition Venture Capital. The investment will support the company’s entry into battery energy storage systems (BESS) and expand its existing solar, energy efficiency and wastewater treatment businesses.
Existing investor Omnivore also participated in the round, alongside angel investors Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy.
The company plans to strengthen its presence across industries with substantial energy and water requirements, including data centres, automotive, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and healthcare. Its expansion comes as commercial and industrial businesses seek ways to manage utility costs, improve resource efficiency and reduce dependence on conventional energy sources.
The business TW.O provides financial solutions for projects as well as infrastructures that enable companies to utilize clean energy technology without making the initial investment themselves. The business model incorporates project financing, ownership, implementation, and performance management.
The platform works with equipment manufacturers and engineering, procurement and construction firms across India. Its customer portfolio includes Premier Energies, Godrej, JK Tyre, Morepen Pharma, Wipro and Phoenix Mills.
Karan Bhutani, co-founder and chief executive officer of TW.O, highlighted the growing pressure on businesses to manage energy and water consumption as India’s industrial activity expands. He also pointed to the importance of energy security and operational resilience amid geopolitical uncertainties.
The company sees a significant opportunity in providing capital and infrastructure solutions to commercial and industrial customers, estimating the addressable market at $100 billion to $150 billion annually.
Founded in 2024 by Archit Mehrotra, Karan Bhutani, Manya Ranjan and Shashidhar Reddy, TW.O brings together expertise spanning investment, energy and industrial infrastructure. Its founders have collectively accumulated more than 75 years of professional experience at organisations including KKR, McKinsey, Shell, BP, Honeywell, ReNew, Sterlite Power and GIC.
Technology plays a central role in the company’s operations. TW.O uses proprietary artificial intelligence and machine learning tools for project assessment, investment underwriting and asset monitoring. These systems support predictive maintenance, risk management and performance optimisation.
The company reported that its assets under management grew by 1.5 times in each of the past three quarters, reflecting the expansion of its infrastructure portfolio.
Yashodhara Bakliwal, vice president of investment at Transition Venture Capital, said TW.O’s approach helps businesses overcome the capital expenditure barriers that can slow clean energy adoption. She also highlighted the challenges of coordinating equipment providers, contractors and other stakeholders during infrastructure deployment.
Abhilash Sethi, partner at Omnivore, identified a continuing gap between India’s growing non-fossil electricity capacity and the adoption of clean energy infrastructure among commercial and industrial customers.
With the latest funding, TW.O aims to expand beyond its existing infrastructure offerings and build a broader platform for financing and deploying energy and water solutions for Indian businesses.
