Paar Autonomy, a new robotics startup from India, has raised ₹3.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Venture Catalysts. The startup is developing next-generation perception hardware and agentic artificial intelligence (AI) for unmanned vehicles including drones, ground robots, and surface vehicles. This funding will help Paar Autonomy accelerate production, expand its team, and scale its innovative autonomous solutions for both defense and industrial applications.
Funding to Set Up Manufacturing and Pilot Deployments
The ₹3.5 crore raised will primarily be used to establish Paar Autonomy’s first manufacturing line. This facility will produce its advanced perception systems at scale and allow the delivery of pilot units to defense and public sector undertaking (PSU) clients. These pilot deployments will help validate the startup’s technology under real-world conditions.
Paar Autonomy will also be adding to its engineering, business development, and robotics, AI, and hardware integration talent. That will accelerate product development, research, and customer involvement an allow for quicker growth.
The startup is also exploring collaborations with defense establishments, PSUs, and international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). These partnerships will focus on supplying turnkey gimballed payloads and licensable AI models that can retrofit existing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), and unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), significantly enhancing their capabilities.

Founded in 2024 by Vignesh Jayaraman, a robotics engineer with prior experience leading product development at a leading Indian drone startup, Paar Autonomy combines innovative hardware with proprietary AI models.
