TaxiBazaar is leaning into a wider international footprint, pairing competitive pricing and real-time flight tracking with a service mix that spans airport transfers, outstation taxis and self-drive rentals. In a note on LinkedIn, the company said it now operates “across Asia and beyond” and thanked partners, clients and staff for powering the expansion.

A road trip to a business plan

The company’s origin story is decidedly scrappy. In 2017, three friends from Amritsar, Ripul Aggarwal, Vaibhav Mahajan and Akshay Bhasin, took a trip to Nainital and returned with a plan for a simple, affordable outstation taxi service.

They pooled ₹5 lakh in savings, went up against bigger taxi operators, and kept the early proposition tight: transparent pricing, reliable rides and responsive customer support. Today, by the founders’ tally, TaxiBazaar handles 2 lakh-plus bookings a year and works with driver partners in 100+ Indian cities.

Scale and routes

Founded in 2017, TaxiBazaar has since built out a two-sided model for consumers and travel partners. A Business Standard “marketing initiative” profile credits the company with outstation coverage in 2,000+ cities and airport presence at 150+ domestic and international hubs, alongside a growing mix of local sightseeing services in 40+ countries such as Thailand, the UAE, Malaysia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka .

The same profile lists partnerships with major OTAs, including MakeMyTrip, Klook, Expedia and EaseMyTrip and an aggregated fleet of 50,000+ vehicles across sedans, SUVs and coaches .

There’s a minor discrepancy in footprint figures: TaxiBazaar’s LinkedIn note pegs overall operations at “30+ countries,” while the Business Standard feature cites 40+ countries for airport transfers and sightseeing services, both presented here as stated by the respective sources .

The LinkedIn update stresses competitive pricing and real-time flight tracking, key features for airport pickups where actual arrival times can diverge from schedules. The broader service mix remains anchored in three lines: airport transfers, intercity (outstation) travel and self-drive rentals.

Post-pandemic, TaxiBazaar says it has reduced diesel dependence by expanding CNG, electric and hybrid options, a shift aimed at both emissions and operating costs, and increasingly relevant for corporate travel buyers with sustainability mandates .

B2B Build-Out

On distribution, the company is sharpening a B2B push. It counts 3,000+ travel agents and plans to launch a dedicated portal to double that network. With rising demand from Europe and North America, the firm is preparing a physical presence in North America as part of its next leg of growth .

Consistent and Competitive

TaxiBazaar’s message is consistent: stay price-competitive, tighten the airport ops layer and expand partner rails. The human backstory, a Nainital road trip turned ₹5 lakh bet, underscores how small, focused beginnings can scale when the service promise is clear and execution is incremental rather than flashy.
