Climate technology startup Aurassure has raised ₹25 crore (approximately $3 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, along with Unicorn India Ventures. Maithan Alloys Limited also participated in the round, giving the company a strong capital base to scale its operations and broaden its reach.
The funding comes at a time when climate risks are becoming more visible across cities, industries, and infrastructure systems, increasing the need for accurate and localised environmental intelligence.
Turning Hyperlocal Data Into Actionable Climate Insights
Founded in 2022 by Akanksha Priyadarshini, Aurassure operates a climate intelligence platform designed to deliver real-time, hyperlocal environmental risk data. The platform integrates inputs from street-level sensors, satellite data, and AI-based analytical models, allowing users to access climate information that reflects on-ground conditions rather than broad regional estimates.
Aurassure’s system tracks multiple environmental parameters, including air quality, heat stress, rainfall, flooding, and wind patterns. By combining physical sensor infrastructure with advanced analytics, the platform helps enterprises and public institutions better understand environmental conditions that directly affect operations, safety, and planning.
How the New Funding Will Be Used
The company plans to use the freshly raised capital across three primary areas. These include expanding into international markets, investing further in product development, and scaling its hardware manufacturing capabilities to support a growing sensor network.
Aurassure has identified Latin America, South Asia, and Africa as key focus regions for expansion. These markets experience high climate variability and often lack reliable, real-time environmental data at the city or neighbourhood level. The startup aims to address this gap by deploying its climate intelligence solutions in areas where timely data can significantly improve preparedness and decision-making.

Expanding Its Global Footprint
Over the past year, the company has taken concrete steps to build its presence beyond India. The company has established a wholly owned subsidiary in Brazil and has rolled out deployments across more than 100 cities in the country.
In Bangladesh, Aurassure has initiated pilot projects, marking an early stage of its engagement in the South Asian market outside India. These pilots are intended to test deployments and adapt the platform to local environmental and operational conditions.
India remains a core market for the company. Aurassure reports that it is currently present across 200 cities, supported by a network of over 2,000 sensors. This growing infrastructure enables the company to collect real-time environmental data at scale and deliver insights across diverse urban and industrial settings.
Growing Enterprise Adoption
The company states that its revenue has grown 150 percent year-on-year since its previous funding round in 2023. The growth has been driven by demand from enterprise customers across sectors such as construction, insurance, healthcare, industrial operations, and infrastructure.
These sectors increasingly rely on accurate environmental data to manage climate-related risks, plan operations, and respond more effectively to extreme weather or pollution events. Aurassure’s platform is positioned to support such needs by offering location-specific insights that can be integrated into operational planning and risk management processes.
Scaling for Long-Term Impact
To start, the company looks forward to extending its sensor network, adding more enterprise clients on board, and deepening its climate analytics platform. The company is committed to having its solutions deployed in 1,000 cities within the next three years, which is a clear indication of its intention to create a vast climate intelligence network.
By concentrating on real-time data, local relevance, and a scalable infrastructure, Aurassure intends to be of significant help to organisations and public bodies in the climate adaptation process under conditions of increased uncertainty.
As climate problems become more severe everywhere, solutions that integrate technology with local data collection are gaining importance. With new capital and a growing presence, the company is gearing up to make a substantial contribution to the process of becoming more informed and resilient in a rapidly changing environment.
