Sprinto, India’s AI-native governance, risk and compliance (GRC) automation platform, has unveiled an advanced suite of artificial intelligence features that aims to push compliance operations towards being truly autonomous while keeping humans firmly in control.

The new release is anchored around two core offerings, AI Playground, a no-code environment to build and deploy AI agents, and Ask AI, an intelligent assistant that surfaces compliance answers in natural language. Together, they are designed to help organisations shrink manual effort, sharpen risk visibility and stay audit-ready across multiple frameworks.

Sprinto: AI Playground puts custom agents in compliance teams’ hands

At the heart of the launch is AI Playground, which allows GRC and security teams to design, test and deploy custom AI agents within minutes, without any engineering support.

These agents are built to take over complex, repetitive workflows, including:

  • Vendor risk analysis
  • Evidence gap detection
  • Risk scoring

By acting on contextual data from existing controls, frameworks and an organisation’s current risk posture, the agents are meant to go beyond basic automation. They can scan for gaps, flag anomalies and perform repeat checks that would otherwise consume large chunks of a compliance team’s bandwidth.

Sprinto says this shift is intended to help organisations reduce manual effort, improve accuracy and accelerate audit readiness, especially when they are working across multiple standards and markets.

Ask AI brings compliance answers in plain language

Complementing the Playground is Ask AI, a query-first compliance assistant that sits on top of an organisation’s data.

Instead of trawling through policies, spreadsheets or dashboards, users can ask questions in natural language about:

  • Company policies
  • Risk registers and assessments
  • Vendor information and related controls

The assistant provides context-aware responses drawn from organisational data, opening up access to compliance intelligence beyond a small specialist team. Sprinto positions this as a way to make governance information discoverable for business, product, sales or operations teams without requiring constant intervention from compliance experts.

‘Silent co-pilot’ for fast-changing regulations

Girish Redekar, Co-founder and CEO of Sprinto, framed the launch against the backdrop of constantly shifting regulatory landscapes.

“It’s impossible for companies to keep up with ever-changing regulations across regions and industries,” he said. “Sprinto AI has been built as a silent co-pilot for cybersecurity and compliance professionals, enabling them to manage governance at the speed of business.”

The company’s internal analysis suggests that the new AI suite can cut audit preparation time significantly while still delivering audit-grade accuracy of 80% or higher. The result, it says, is better real-time visibility into compliance health and a higher chance of staying in a “ready any time” state for audits.

Human-in-the-loop architecture and ethical guardrails

Despite the push towards autonomy, Sprinto has emphasised that its AI suite has been built within a human-in-the-loop architecture. The system is designed so that people retain oversight, validation and accountability, even as agents and assistants handle much of the grunt work.

On the AI governance front, Sprinto says its platform:

  • Adheres to ISO 42001 standards for ethical AI
  • Enforces strict data-privacy controls
  • Excludes customer data from model training

These guardrails are intended to reassure customers that while AI is being used to automate compliance workflows, it is not doing so at the cost of data protection or transparency.

Sprinto works with a diverse portfolio of fast-growing companies in India and overseas, including Whatfix, Bizongo, Happay, Turtlemint and Rocketlane, among others.

The company is backed by Accel, Elevation Capital and Blume Ventures, and recently raised $20 million in a Series B round. The fresh capital is earmarked to advance its AI-driven compliance capabilities and accelerate global expansion.

Beyond the new AI suite, Sprinto describes itself as an AI-native GRC and compliance automation platform that supports 200+ global security standards, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA and PCI-DSS.

The platform is trusted by over 3,000 companies across 75 countries, including names such as Anaconda, WeWork and Whatfix, and offers 300+ integrations to pull in signals and evidence from existing tools.

By layering AI Playground and Ask AI on top of this foundation, Sprinto is positioning its latest release as a way for organisations to stay audit-ready, manage risks and scale with confidence, while shifting more of the routine work to specialised, controllable AI agents.
