Porter Joins Unicorn Club with $200M Series F Funding

Porter, India’s leading on-demand logistics startup, has officially entered the unicorn club after securing $200 million in a Series F funding round. Led by Kedaara Capital and Wellington Management, the round has propelled Porter’s valuation to an estimated $1.2 billion, making it the second Indian startup to achieve unicorn status in 2025.

A Logistics Disruptor Since 2014

Founded in 2014 by Pranav Goel, Uttam Digga, and Vikas Choudhary, Porter started as a platform offering mini-truck rentals for intra-city logistics. Today, it provides a range of solutions, from mini-truck and two-wheeler deliveries to peer-to-peer parcel services, catering primarily to MSMEs and individual users across 22 Indian cities.

The company’s asset-light, tech-first model has enabled it to disrupt the urban logistics sector, simplifying the movement of goods through an intuitive mobile platform and empowering gig economy workers.

Strong Financials and Growth Vision

Porter’s quick growth is reflected in its financial success. Revenue for the company increased from ₹2,766 crore in FY24 to nearly ₹4,000 crore in FY25. The new funding source will be used for:

  • Expand into new Indian cities,
  • Strengthen its tech infrastructure,
  • Enhance services in last-mile delivery and hyperlocal logistics,
  • Create new income opportunities for over 1 million gig workers.

Strategic Exits and Investor Confidence

The Series F round also saw early investors such as Peak XV Partners fully exiting, while Kae Capital and Lightrock made partial exits. Existing backer Vitruvian Partners also participated, signaling strong investor confidence in Porter’s vision and scalability.

A Boost for India’s Startup Ecosystem

India’s Startup scene will see strength in Porter’s status as unicorn, especially when it comes in the transport ans logistics sectors, highlighting the vitalality in e-commerce. Porter’s achievements demonstrate the importance of long-term growth, effective operations, and a scalable business model as funding backers grow increasingly discriminating.
