Lindt & Sprüngli has entered India’s premium retail market with its first dedicated Indian boutique, opening its doors on September 4, 2026, at Worldmark, Aerocity, New Delhi.

Spread across 1,100 sq. ft., the new store brings Lindt’s Swiss chocolate heritage into a dedicated retail space designed for shoppers, travellers and corporate gifting customers. The company has more than 180 years of chocolate-making expertise, which forms a central part of the boutique’s positioning.

The Aerocity location also gives Lindt a presence in one of Delhi’s prominent hospitality and retail destinations, placing the brand closer to both domestic consumers and international travellers.

A Pick & Mix counter takes centre stage

One of the most distinctive features of the new boutique is its Lindor Pick & Mix counter. Customers can choose from more than 25 Lindor flavours and create their own selection instead of purchasing a fixed assortment.

The range also includes variants that are exclusive to the boutique, giving shoppers an additional reason to explore the in-store selection.

Alongside Lindor, the boutique stocks Lindt’s Excellence dark chocolate range and Extra Creamy collection. It also features the newly launched Wafers line and baking products, broadening the store beyond traditional gifting boxes and individual chocolates.

Personalised gifting gets a dedicated focus

Gifting is another major part of the boutique experience. Customers can put together personalised hampers and choose from seasonal and festive packaging options.

The store also has trained chocolate advisors who can guide shoppers through the range and help them select products based on their preferences or gifting needs.

For Lindt, the approach turns the store into more than a conventional chocolate outlet. The focus is on giving customers a chance to discover products, build customised selections and create personalised gifts within the brand’s retail environment.

Lindt marks a new chapter in India

“Opening our very first Lindt store in India marks an important milestone for us. Lindt chocolate is about creating moments of indulgence, whether you’re treating yourself after a long day, discovering a new favourite flavour or finding the perfect gift for someone special,” said Dr Adalbert Lechner, Group CEO of Lindt & Sprüngli.

The India launch comes at a time when international premium brands are paying greater attention to the country’s growing consumer market. Premium chocolate is also becoming an increasingly visible part of India’s broader luxury and gifting landscape.

Lindt’s arrival follows the entry of other international premium chocolate brands, including Swiss chocolatier Läderach, into India. The broader market is also seeing multinational consumer companies increase their focus on Indian consumers.

From selective retail presence to a dedicated boutique

Lindt products have previously been accessible to Indian consumers through select retail channels and duty-free outlets. The opening of a dedicated boutique gives the brand a direct physical retail presence in the country.

The Aerocity store combines Lindt’s established Swiss identity with a retail format built around discovery, customisation and gifting. Its Pick & Mix counter, exclusive Lindor variants and personalised hampers are among the features that distinguish the new location from a standard chocolate shelf in a supermarket or general retail store.

The first boutique therefore represents more than the opening of another chocolate shop in Delhi. It marks Lindt’s first move into India through a dedicated branded retail space, with Aerocity serving as the company’s starting point in the country’s premium chocolate market.
