Bengaluru-based wedding planning platform The Wedding Company has raised $2.75 million (around Rs 25 crore) in a seed funding round led by Wellingdon Advisors LLP. The round also saw participation from LVX, Tremis Capital, and several angel investors, including Vivek Mathur, Rahul Garg, Apurva Patel, and Synergy Capital Partners.
The latest investment comes less than a year after the company secured $1 million in a pre-seed funding round in July last year. That round was co-led by LVX and Tremis Capital, with participation from investors such as Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Ajith Pai, and Arash Ferdowsi.
Funding to Support Scale and Service Standardisation
According to the company, the newly raised capital will be used to strengthen its wedding services catalogue, build a stronger category management function, and expand its network of vendor partners. The company also plans to use the funds to improve the consistency and standardisation of service delivery as it scales operations across markets.
The move reflects the growing demand for organised and technology-driven wedding planning solutions in India, where customers increasingly seek end-to-end services through a single platform.

Building an End-to-End Wedding Planning Platform
Founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev, The Wedding Company operates as a technology-enabled, full-service wedding planning and fulfilment platform. The startup offers a wide range of wedding-related services, including venue selection, décor, catering, photography, and logistics management.
The company says it works with more than 2,000 verified vendors across multiple cities. Through its integrated platform, it aims to simplify wedding planning for couples and families both in India and overseas by bringing together essential services under one roof.
By combining technology with a curated vendor network, the platform seeks to provide a professionally managed wedding experience while reducing the complexity often associated with coordinating multiple service providers.
Targeting a Large and Fragmented Market
The Wedding Company is focused on addressing challenges in India’s wedding industry, which it estimates to be worth approximately $130 billion. The sector remains highly fragmented, with consumers often relying on numerous independent vendors for different aspects of wedding planning.
The startup’s model is designed to streamline this process by offering a centralised platform that covers major wedding requirements, from venue booking and décor arrangements to catering, photography, and logistics support.
The company believes that a structured and technology-driven approach can help improve customer experience while creating greater efficiency for both consumers and service providers.
Strong Growth in Service Order Value
The Wedding Company reports significant growth in its business over the past year. According to the startup, its service order value increased from Rs 51 crore in FY25 to Rs 115 crore in FY26, representing growth of 125%.
Looking ahead, the company has set ambitious expansion targets. It aims to achieve Rs 350 crore in service orders during FY27, supported by an expected addition of around 1,500 new wedding bookings.
The projected growth is expected to be driven by increased market penetration, expansion of its vendor network, and continued demand for organised wedding planning services.
Competing in the Mid-Market Wedding Segment
The Wedding Company primarily serves the mid-average order value (AOV) wedding segment. In this category, it competes with several organised players that offer wedding planning, venue booking, and related services.
Key competitors in the space include Weddingz.in, which is part of OYO, as well as Meragi, VenueMonk, and WedMeGood. As competition intensifies, companies are increasingly focusing on technology adoption, service quality, and vendor management to differentiate themselves in the market.
With fresh funding in hand and expansion plans underway, The Wedding Company is looking to strengthen its position in India’s growing wedding services ecosystem while continuing to build a more organised and scalable platform for wedding planning.
