Coforge Ltd shares rose more than 1% in morning trade on July 24 after the IT services company announced that it had secured a five-year contract valued at more than $230 million from a major European client. The agreement is aimed at delivering a large-scale artificial intelligence-led business transformation programme, marking one of the company’s biggest AI engagements in Europe.

At around 11:33 am, Coforge shares were trading at ₹1,454.90 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), up ₹15 or 1.04% compared to the previous closing price. The announcement was positively received by investors, reflecting growing confidence in the company’s expanding AI-focused business.

Major AI Transformation Project in Europe

According to Coforge, the five-year engagement represents one of the largest AI-led transformation programmes the company has secured in the European market. The initiative is designed to modernise the client’s business operations by integrating advanced technologies, including Low-Code and No-Code platforms, AI-powered automation, and AI-infused software development practices.

The company said these technologies will help simplify complex business processes while enabling faster software development and improved operational efficiency. By combining automation with intelligent engineering capabilities, Coforge aims to support the client’s long-term digital transformation objectives.

Focus on Faster Innovation and Smarter Operations

Coforge stated that the transformation programme is expected to enhance decision-making across the organisation while improving productivity and reducing manual intervention in key business processes. The company also expects the project to accelerate the delivery of business outcomes through the adoption of AI-driven technologies.

The IT services provider plans to use its industry expertise, platform engineering capabilities, and AI-first strategy to build scalable and future-ready digital services for the European client. The company believes the engagement reflects the growing shift among enterprises from experimenting with AI to implementing it across core business operations.

The contract also strengthens Coforge’s presence in the enterprise AI transformation segment, where organisations are increasingly looking for partners capable of delivering AI solutions at scale rather than limiting deployments to pilot projects.

Growing Enterprise Demand for AI Adoption

Commenting on the development, John Speight, President and Europe Business Leader at Coforge, said the deal marks an important milestone for the company’s European operations and highlights the increasing demand for AI-led transformation programmes that generate measurable business value.

He said organisations are now moving beyond isolated AI initiatives and are seeking to integrate artificial intelligence into their everyday business functions. According to Speight, the number of significant AI transformation opportunities across Coforge’s markets continues to grow as enterprises look for technology partners that can support enterprise-wide implementation.

Speight added that by combining modern digital platforms, AI-powered automation, and strong engineering capabilities, Coforge aims to help the client accelerate innovation, improve operational efficiency, and build a more agile and future-ready enterprise.

AI Strategy Continues to Drive Business Growth

The latest contract reinforces Coforge’s strategic focus on artificial intelligence and digital transformation services, areas that continue to attract strong demand from global enterprises. Businesses across industries are increasingly investing in AI technologies to improve efficiency, automate repetitive processes, and enhance customer experiences.

Large, multi-year transformation programmes have become an important growth driver for technology services companies as organisations scale their AI investments beyond proof-of-concept projects. Coforge’s latest European engagement reflects this broader industry trend, with enterprises seeking comprehensive technology partners capable of delivering end-to-end AI transformation.

The deal also adds to Coforge’s portfolio of long-term international engagements, strengthening its position in the European market while supporting its strategy of expanding AI-led enterprise services. The company’s emphasis on combining platform engineering, automation, and AI-enabled software development is expected to play a key role in delivering long-term value for its client over the five-year contract period.
