Mumbai-based skincare brand Be Clinical has raised ₹6 crore in a seed funding round led by V3 Ventures. The round also saw participation from Titan Capital, founded by Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, who increased their investment in the company. The fresh capital marks a significant step in Be Clinical’s growth journey as it strengthens its focus on research-led, clinically tested skincare solutions.

Continuation of an Ongoing Seed Round

The latest investment builds on an earlier tranche of funding raised in the same seed round. Previously, Be Clinical had secured ₹2 crore led by Titan Capital, with participation from Aditya Agarwal, founder of P-TAL. With this extension, the brand has further reinforced investor confidence in its product philosophy and early market traction.

Capital Allocation Focused on Research and Clinical Validation

According to the company, the newly raised funds will be primarily directed toward research and development. Be Clinical plans to strengthen its in-house formulation capabilities, expand clinical testing, and develop targeted solutions addressing ageing concerns across the face, body, and scalp. The brand has emphasized that evidence-based formulation and clinical validation will remain central to its product development strategy.

An Evidence-Led Approach to Indian Skincare Needs

Founded by Hemangi Dhir and launched in May last year, Be Clinical positions itself as an evidence-led skincare brand focused on ageing skin. The company develops clinically tried solutions designed specifically for Indian skin types and environmental conditions. Its product development is supported by in-house research and the use of dermatologically active ingredients, with an emphasis on transparency, consumer education, and measurable outcomes.

Addressing Gaps in the Indian Skincare Market

Be Clinical aims to address what it identifies as a gap in the Indian skincare market, particularly the limited availability of science-driven, transparent, and clinically validated products tailored for Indian consumers. The brand differentiates itself through in-vivo tested formulations and claims end-to-end control over research and manufacturing. Responsible formulation practices and clinical validation form the backbone of its approach to building consumer trust.

Early Market Traction and Growing Consumer Adoption

Since its inception, Be Clinical reports strong early traction within a relatively short period. The brand states that it has served more than 25,000 customers, indicating rapid adoption and increasing confidence among consumers seeking clinically driven skincare solutions tailored to Indian needs. This early response has supported the company’s plans to scale operations and deepen its product portfolio.

Manufacturing Expansion and Quality Enhancement Plans

As part of its growth strategy, Be Clinical intends to expand its manufacturing facility by adding advanced machinery. The upgrades are expected to improve production capacity, consistency, and quality control. The company sees manufacturing capability as a critical factor in maintaining formulation integrity and ensuring product reliability as volumes increase.

Upgrading Packaging to Match Clinical Positioning

In addition to manufacturing expansion, Be Clinical plans to enhance its packaging formats. The brand aims to introduce functional and protective packaging that helps preserve ingredient efficacy while reinforcing its clinical-grade positioning. Premium packaging upgrades are also expected to align with the brand’s focus on performance, safety, and product stability.

Operating in a Competitive Anti-Ageing Landscape

Be Clinical operates in the anti-ageing skincare segment, competing with established players such as Olay, Neutrogena, Clinique, and Dr. Sheth. While the category is crowded, the company believes its emphasis on clinical testing, in-house research, and India-specific formulations sets it apart in a market increasingly driven by informed consumer choices.

Scaling Clinical Innovation for the Indian Market

With the latest funding in place, Be Clinical is preparing to scale its scientific capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure, and product offerings. The company remains focused on building a clinically grounded skincare brand that combines research, transparency, and relevance for Indian consumers, while continuing to strengthen trust through validated results and consistent quality.
