Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals and founder of Arth by Emcure, has announced a partial exit from PALMONAS, the demi-fine jewellery brand featured on Shark Tank India Season 4.

In a post, Thapar said her investment in PALMONAS delivered almost 9X returns in 14 months, translating to around 750 percent growth. Calling it a proud Shark Tank India moment, she credited the brand’s founder Pallavi for building a strong consumer business and described her as “one woman founder to watch out for.”

PALMONAS, founded by Pallavi Mohadikar, has grown into a demi-fine jewellery brand with 70 stores. Thapar also said the company has raised ₹350 crore to invest in offline expansion and diversify into a 9-karat jewellery range.

Pallavi’s entrepreneurial journey began with Karigari, a sari brand inspired by her grandfather, who was a weaver. She later sold that business and went on to build PALMONAS.

Thapar, who shares a Pune connection with Pallavi, said the founder has also interacted with her team and guided her in her consumer business, Arth by Emcure.

“She will be on the shark seat next to me some day soon,” Thapar wrote, adding that she would be eagerly waiting for that moment.

The partial exit is being positioned by Thapar as a showcase of what Shark Tank India can do for Indian entrepreneurs when capital, mentorship and founder ambition come together.
