Bengaluru-based health food startup The Kenko Life has raised an undisclosed seed funding round led by Rainmatter, the investment initiative supporting health and wellness ventures, with participation from Aniketh Jain, Co-founder of Kaleyra. The fresh capital will help the company expand operations, strengthen its technology backbone, and introduce new products designed to make nutritious eating both convenient and enjoyable.

Founded in 2023 by Neeraj Kumar and Vivek Chandran, The Kenko Life has quickly carved a space in India’s growing healthy food market. The startup focuses on creating nutritionist-backed, subscription-based meals and desserts that align with modern lifestyles, offering food that is both balanced and accessible for everyday consumers.

Blending Health, Taste, and Convenience

In just two years, The Kenko Life has built a steady following in Bengaluru’s health-conscious community. It currently operates four cafés, serves over 800 active subscribers, and delivers more than 21,000 meals each month. The startup’s meals are built around calorie and macro tracking, giving customers an easy way to stay on top of their daily nutrition without compromising on flavor.

The hybrid model, combining café experiences with direct-to-home meal subscriptions, has helped the brand stand out. Customers can enjoy freshly prepared, portioned meals in the cafés or have them delivered regularly through flexible plans. This approach has resulted in strong repeat purchases and rapid growth, with the company recording around 300% year-on-year topline growth.

Growth and Innovation

With this new round of funding, The Kenko Life plans to deepen its presence in Bengaluru and expand to Hyderabad, one of India’s fastest-growing metro markets. The company is also developing a personalized mobile app that will help customers plan meals based on their nutrition goals, lifestyle habits, and food preferences.

Alongside its tech ambitions, the brand is preparing to roll out a new line of no-sugar, clean-ingredient desserts and high-protein Indian thalis, reflecting its vision of making health-focused meals exciting and culturally familiar. The company also intends to upgrade its kitchen capacity, streamline delivery systems, and incorporate eco-friendly packaging, reinforcing its commitment to both quality and sustainability.

Riding India’s Health-Food Wave

India’s health-focused food sector is witnessing strong momentum. Estimated at around $2-3 billion, the market is expanding at a healthy annual rate of 20-25%, driven by the increasing awareness of lifestyle-related diseases and a growing preference for nutritious, convenient meals.

Within this larger space, subscription-based food services remain a relatively young but promising category. Busy professionals and families are showing strong interest in regular, customized meal plans that combine the reliability of home-cooked food with the ease of delivery. The Kenko Life’s model fits perfectly within this shift, offering a mix of consistency, personalization, and taste.

Making Nutrition Effortless and Enjoyable

At its core, The Kenko Life is built around a simple idea, healthy food should be easy to access and enjoyable to eat. Its offerings are designed to remove the friction of diet planning and calorie counting while keeping the focus on real, wholesome ingredients.

From balanced main courses to indulgent yet mindful desserts, the company’s menu blends taste with practicality. This approach has resonated with young professionals, fitness enthusiasts, and families looking for long-term, sustainable nutrition rather than short-term diet solutions.

Scaling Up with Purpose

Over the next two years, The Kenko Life plans to expand its café network from four to six outlets and introduce two new product lines under its subscription platform. These new additions will cater to evolving customer demands and regional food preferences.

As it grows, the company aims to maintain its focus on quality, consistency, and transparency, ensuring that its products stay true to the promise of health and convenience. Every meal is designed to fit seamlessly into daily life, making wellness a habit rather than a challenge.

Redefining the Future of Everyday Eating

The Kenko Life’s growth reflects a broader cultural shift in India’s food habits. Consumers are increasingly seeking options that are nutritious yet practical, modern yet rooted in familiar flavors. By merging data-driven nutrition with the warmth of everyday food, the company is redefining what healthy eating can look like in a fast-paced world.

With strong investor backing and a clear vision for scalable, technology-led nutrition, The Kenko Life is poised to become a key player in India’s evolving wellness economy, where taste, convenience, and health finally come together on the same plate.
