Construction technology startup conmeet has secured €6 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round as it looks to bring more of the construction business workflow into a single, AI-powered platform.
The round was co-led by Reimann Investors Venture Capital and Smedvig Ventures. It follows conmeet’s pre-seed financing, which was led by May Ventures six months earlier. May Ventures continues to back the company.
The fresh capital will be directed towards expanding conmeet’s presence across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, collectively known as the DACH region. The company also plans to develop its artificial intelligence capabilities further and add to its team.
One system for construction business operations
Founded in 2023 by Benedikt Kisner, Leandro Ananias and Lennart Eckerlein, conmeet is building an operating system for trades and construction companies.
Its platform brings together project management, procurement, scheduling, construction-site operations, documentation, finance and invoicing. The product is aimed at mid-sized businesses with between 10 and 500 employees.
Construction companies often rely on separate tools for different parts of a project. Information may need to be entered more than once, passed manually between teams or stored across disconnected systems.
conmeet is trying to replace that fragmented setup with a shared operational platform. Customers can use the system to manage work from the first customer interaction and procurement stage through project execution, invoicing and payment.
Bringing those functions together also gives office teams, commercial departments and employees at construction sites access to the same operational information in real time.
AI built into everyday workflows
Rather than positioning artificial intelligence as a separate feature, conmeet has designed its platform around a unified data model.
The company says this structure allows AI capabilities to be incorporated directly into daily business processes. The technology can be used to automate recurring administrative work and support workflows that require less manual intervention over time.
This approach is intended to help construction businesses move beyond simply digitising existing processes. The broader goal is to automate parts of those processes while keeping information connected across departments and project stages.
Benedikt Kisner, co-founder and chief executive of conmeet, said the industry does not need another isolated software tool. He argued that construction businesses need a platform capable of managing operations from end to end.
According to Kisner, advances in AI are making it possible for companies not only to represent their processes digitally, but also to automate them and gradually introduce more autonomous execution. conmeet’s shared data foundation, he said, allows those capabilities to become part of day-to-day operations rather than remain separate from the core workflow.
Investors see demand for industry-specific software
Samuel Schuler, Managing Director at Reimann Investors Venture Capital, said construction and trades businesses are increasingly looking for software designed around the way their industries actually operate.
He pointed to conmeet’s combination of construction-sector knowledge, company-building experience and software development expertise as an important factor behind the investment.
Now that the funding is in place, conmeet will concentrate on expanding its regional footprint and further developing the AI-enabled foundations of its platform. The company’s core offering is still rather simple: replacing multiple disparate systems with a single operating platform, designed around the entire life cycle of construction business operations.
