Adithya Pappala Backs Piyush Goyal’s Call for Global Innovation

Adithya Pappala, known for building fintech and food startups and leading a venture studio with a global portfolio of 30+ startups and 1000+ investors, took a nuanced stance. While acknowledging the achievements of prominent entrepreneurs like Aadit Palicha (Zepto), Akash Gupta (Zypp Electric), Kiran Shah (Go Zero), and Arjun Vaidya (V3 Ventures), he pointed out that Goyal’s message was not directed at already successful business builders. Instead, it was a call for young Indian entrepreneurs to think bigger and tackle planet-level challenges.

Pappala emphasised that Goyal’s appeal was aimed explicitly at youngsters entering the entrepreneurial ecosystem, urging them to look beyond local or city-centric problems and address global issues that could shape humanity’s future for the next century. He pointed out that while all businesses solve some issues, the real distinction lies in their impact, scalability, and long-term solutions.

Reflecting on his own journey as a 20-year-old who has built and scaled ventures globally, Pappala shared that his most valuable asset is time. With a realistic outlook, he remarked that in the limited timeline of his life, he intends to focus on endeavors that humanity will need over the next ten decades rather than pursuing businesses solely aimed at making life easier.

His message to Indian youth was clear: innovation must move beyond local limits. His opinion is that India requires founders who have ambitions to change the world instead of city or country-level solutions. He used Elon Musk as a reference point, and according to him, the only difference is in vision, working for the world and not for local convenience.

Finally, Pappala’s post represents a reflection of the new generation of Indian business people who refuse to be held back by convention.
