Bengaluru-based education startup Arivihan is in talks to raise between $10 million and $12 million in a new funding round. The investment discussions are reportedly taking place with existing backers Accel and Prosus, the same investors who supported the company in its earlier round less than a year ago.
The development highlights renewed interest in AI-powered education platforms at a time when the broader edtech sector is still finding its footing after a slowdown.
A New-Age Learning Platform
Founded in 2024, Arivihan is built around the idea of using artificial intelligence to support students in their studies. Instead of relying only on traditional teaching methods, the company uses technology to create personalised learning experiences.
The platform mainly focuses on school students, especially those in Class 12 who are preparing for board exams and competitive entrance tests such as NEET. These exams are extremely important for students in India, and preparation often requires strong guidance and regular practice.
Arivihan aims to make that guidance more accessible, particularly for students in smaller towns and cities where high-quality coaching centres may not always be available.
The company was founded by IIT Roorkee alumni Ritesh Singh Chandel and Sonu Kumar, along with educator Rushabh Kothari. Together, they set out to build a system that could provide structured lessons, clear explanations, and instant doubt-solving support through technology.

Backed by Established Investors
Before these latest funding talks, Arivihan raised around $4.17 million in a pre-Series A round led by Accel and Prosus. Earlier, it had secured about $750,000 in seed funding through Accel’s Atoms program.
The previous investment helped the company strengthen its AI systems, expand into new regions, and improve features such as multilingual learning support.
The fact that the same investors are now considering another round suggests continued confidence in the company’s progress and potential.
AI at the Centre of the Edtech Comeback
India’s edtech industry saw massive growth during the pandemic, but the momentum slowed down in the following years. Many companies faced funding challenges, and investors became more cautious.
Now, attention is shifting toward startups that use AI in a meaningful way. Investors are looking for platforms that can deliver better learning outcomes while also being efficient and scalable.
Arivihan’s model is built around this idea. Its system creates personalised study plans, offers automated doubt resolution, and adapts lessons based on a student’s performance. This approach aims to make studying more targeted, user-specific and less overwhelming.
Focus on Important Exams
Board exams and entrance tests, such as JEE and NEET, form one of the largest segments in India’s education market. Every year, millions of students prepare for these exams, often spending significant time and money on coaching.
Thus, by combining structured content with AI-driven customisation, Arivihan is trying to make exam preparation more effective and accessible for all. Its goal is to provide consistent support without depending entirely on physical classrooms.
What Comes Next
If the proposed $10-12 million round goes through, the funds are expected to help Arivihan further improve its technology, expand its reach, and strengthen its presence in more regions.
The discussions also signal a broader shift in investor thinking. While edtech funding may not be as aggressive as it once was, companies that show strong technology use and clear value for students are still attracting serious attention.
For Arivihan, the new round could mark another important step in its growth journey. In just two years since its founding, it has secured backing from well-known investors and positioned itself in a segment that continues to evolve. Whether the round closes soon or takes time, it reflects steady progress in a competitive and changing market.
