RentoMojo IPO: Furniture and home appliance rental platform RentoMojo entered the public markets on Thursday with its shares opening comfortably above the price at which they were sold in the company’s initial public offering.

RentoMojo began trading at Rs 482.45 on the NSE, against an IPO issue price of Rs 404 per share. Based on those prices, the opening represented a premium of about 19.4%. On the BSE, shares started trading at Rs 480, or 18.81% above the issue price.

This listing came on the back of high subscription interest shown by investors in RentoMojo’s IPO of Rs 1,256 crores. This included the retail segment that was oversubscribed 15.58 times before the listing of the company.

Most of the IPO came through an offer for sale

RentoMojo had set a price band of Rs 384 to Rs 404 per share for the public issue.

The structure of the IPO is an important part of the listing story. Of the total Rs 1,256 crore issue, only Rs 150 crore was raised through fresh shares issued by the company. Around Rs 1,106 crore came through an offer for sale, or OFS, in which existing shareholders sold part of their holdings.

That means close to 88% of the overall IPO consisted of shares sold by existing investors, while the fresh capital flowing directly to RentoMojo accounted for a much smaller portion of the offering.

RentoMojo brings the rental model to public markets

RentoMojo operates a subscription-led rental platform for furniture and household appliances. Customers can rent products through monthly plans rather than purchasing them outright.

Its business is primarily aimed at urban households and operates across major Indian cities. The company competes in the broader furniture and home rental space with names including Pepperfry, Furlenco and Cityfurnish.

With its listing, RentoMojo has also become the first company in its segment to reach the IPO market.

The public issue provided an exit opportunity for existing shareholders through the OFS component. The information provided also indicates that some of the company’s early investors were positioned to generate significant returns through their share sales.

RentoMojo IPO: Revenue and profit recorded sharp growth

RentoMojo entered the public market after reporting a substantial improvement in its financial performance.

Its revenue from operations increased 45.5% year on year to Rs 387 crore. Profit after tax rose at a faster pace, climbing 142% to Rs 104.2 crore, compared with Rs 43.1 crore in FY25.

Those numbers put the company’s earnings profile alongside the investor demand seen during the IPO, giving the listing a combination of operating growth and strong primary-market participation.

Trading also moved above the opening price after the listing. At 10:12 AM, RentoMojo shares were quoted at Rs 502, while the company’s total market capitalisation stood at around Rs 5,250 crore.

For RentoMojo, the listing marks a transition from a privately backed rental platform to a publicly traded company. The market’s attention will now move from IPO subscriptions and listing-day premiums to how the business performs after entering the listed space.
