Xiaomi India has signalled that the Xiaomi 18 Pro is headed for a global launch, with India expected to be among the first markets to receive the flagship smartphone.
The company has teased the international arrival of the device with the message, “Xiaomi 18 Pro is going global. Coming soon. Get Ready.” The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max have already been launched in China, making their core specifications known ahead of a wider rollout.
While Xiaomi has not announced an exact India launch date in the information available, the rollout is expected to take place around October or November.
The India teaser puts the spotlight on one of Xiaomi’s most premium smartphone line-ups, with both models combining high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, large batteries and Leica-linked camera systems.
Xiaomi 18 Pro specifications
The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1120 x 2436 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and claimed peak brightness of 4,000 nits.
One of the more distinctive elements is a 2.7-inch AMOLED secondary display on the rear, which also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness.
Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, paired with configurations offering up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs HyperOS 4 based on Android 17 out of the box.
Photography is another major focus. Xiaomi has equipped the 18 Pro with a triple rear-camera setup consisting of a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
A 50MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. The camera system has been co-engineered with Leica.
The handset carries a 7,000mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max gets a larger display and battery
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max takes the same premium approach into a larger form factor.

Battery capacity rises to 8,500mAh, while charging support remains at 100W wired and 50W wireless.
The Pro Max also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Its camera configuration is stated to be the same as the Xiaomi 18 Pro, retaining the triple-camera arrangement used on the smaller model.
India launch now becomes the key detail to watch
With the global rollout now teased, the remaining questions centre on Xiaomi’s India launch schedule and the local availability of the different configurations.
The company’s teaser confirms that the Xiaomi 18 Pro is moving beyond China, but an official India launch date and India pricing have not been announced yet.
That means the specifications provide a clear picture of the hardware Xiaomi is preparing to bring to a wider audience, while the commercial details for India remain to be disclosed.
