Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is set to acquire MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH, the management and IT consulting subsidiary of Porsche AG, for an enterprise value of €320 million. The transaction marks a major expansion of TCS’ presence in automotive consulting and strengthens its partnership with the German luxury carmaker.
The acquisition was approved by the board of TCS Netherlands B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of TCS. Under the agreement, TCS will acquire 100% of the equity in MHP. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory and competition approvals and is expected to close within three to four months.
A New AI-Focused Partnership Takes Shape
The acquisition is part of a broader strategic partnership between TCS and Porsche aimed at accelerating the use of artificial intelligence across the carmaker’s mobility value chain.
As part of the collaboration, TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche. The centre will focus on applying AI across key areas including engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer experience.
The companies also plan to work together on intelligent manufacturing, enterprise transformation and software-defined mobility. The partnership will combine Porsche’s automotive engineering expertise with TCS’ capabilities in technology, artificial intelligence, engineering and business transformation.
MHP Brings Automotive Consulting Expertise
MHP is an automotive and industrial consulting company headquartered in Ludwigsburg, Germany. It provides services spanning business consulting, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, SAP transformation, manufacturing digitalisation, connected mobility and software-defined mobility.
The company employs more than 4,500 people globally. According to TCS’ regulatory disclosure, MHP recorded turnover of €742 million in calendar year 2025, compared with €830 million in 2024 and €828 million in 2023.
MHP has operations across Germany, Romania, the UK, the US, India and Mexico. Its international footprint gives TCS an established consulting and technology platform in the automotive and industrial sectors across Europe and other key markets.
Porsche Signs €1.25 Billion Five-Year Deal
Alongside the acquisition, Porsche has entered into a five-year strategic agreement with TCS and MHP worth €1.25 billion. The agreement is designed to support the long-term industrialisation of AI across Porsche’s engineering, manufacturing, operations, customer experience and enterprise transformation activities.
The partnership will also cover next-generation automotive technology services and software-defined mobility platforms. TCS said the collaboration is intended to create a long-term technology relationship with Porsche while supporting the carmaker’s broader digital transformation efforts.
Porsche Sharpens Focus on Its Core Business
For Porsche, the sale of MHP is part of its strategy to concentrate more closely on its core automotive business while retaining MHP as an important technology and consulting partner.
Porsche said MHP will continue operating under its existing brand as an independent consultancy within the Tata Group following the transaction. The two companies will also continue their existing collaboration, particularly in areas connected with digitalisation, transformation and artificial intelligence.
TCS Expands Its European Automotive Reach
The acquisition gives TCS a stronger foothold in Germany’s automotive consulting ecosystem and provides access to MHP’s established expertise in automotive and industrial transformation.
With MHP’s workforce, international operations and long-standing relationship with Porsche, the deal is expected to support TCS’ ambitions in European automotive and industrial technology services. The wider partnership also positions AI, engineering and software-defined mobility at the centre of the companies’ future collaboration.
The transaction will become effective after the required regulatory approvals and closing conditions are completed. Until then, MHP will remain a Porsche subsidiary. Following completion, it will become part of TCS while continuing to operate under the MHP name.
