Apple has opened pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India, putting its latest premium smartphones on the market ahead of their September 18 availability.
Bookings for both models began at 5:30 PM IST on September 12. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900, while the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max begins at ₹1,79,900. Apple is offering both devices with storage options ranging from 256GB all the way to 2TB.
The pre-order window also brings a new Burgundy colour into Apple’s Pro lineup, alongside Black, Silver and Glacier. For buyers looking beyond the base variants, prices climb sharply as storage increases, with the top-end 2TB iPhone 18 Pro Max reaching ₹3,29,900.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max prices in India
Apple has kept four storage tiers for each model, giving buyers the same capacity choices across the Pro and Pro Max.
| Model | Storage | Price |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro | 256GB | ₹1,64,900 |
| iPhone 18 Pro | 512GB | ₹1,89,900 |
| iPhone 18 Pro | 1TB | ₹2,39,900 |
| iPhone 18 Pro | 2TB | ₹3,14,900 |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | 256GB | ₹1,79,900 |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | 512GB | ₹2,04,900 |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | 1TB | ₹2,54,900 |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | 2TB | ₹3,29,900 |
That creates a sizeable price range within the Pro family itself. A buyer choosing the highest-capacity Pro Max will spend almost twice the starting price of the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro.
The available colours are Black, Silver, Glacier and the newly added Burgundy.
Where buyers can pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro
Customers can place their orders directly through Apple’s online store or the Apple Store app.
The phones are also being offered through major retail and e-commerce channels including Amazon, Flipkart, Lotus Electronics and Vijay Sales, along with other authorised retail partners. Buyers who prefer an in-store purchase can check availability at Apple Stores and authorised retailers.
For buyers targeting a particular combination of storage and colour, choosing the configuration before beginning the order process may make the checkout simpler.
The ordering process involves selecting either the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max, choosing the preferred capacity and colour, reviewing payment or exchange options, adding delivery details and completing the retailer’s required payment or booking steps.
Cashback, EMI and trade-in options
The pre-order offers add another layer to the pricing.
Instant cashback is listed for eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards. No-cost EMI options start from ₹26,316 a month for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹28,817 a month for the Pro Max over six months, with the figures including instant cashback.
Trade-in credit ranges from ₹21,000 to ₹81,500 for an iPhone 13 or newer. The final effective cost can therefore vary considerably depending on the model purchased, payment method and the value of the device being exchanged.
September 18 is the next key date
While pre-orders are already open, general availability for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max begins on September 18.
That separates the booking window from the point at which the devices become available to Indian customers, giving early buyers several days to secure their preferred variant.
The two Pro phones were introduced alongside another major addition to Apple’s smartphone range, the iPhone Duo. However, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is following a different launch schedule.
iPhone Duo buyers will have to wait until October
The iPhone Duo is not part of the current Pro pre-order window.
Its pre-orders in India are scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM IST on October 16, with availability following on October 23. The foldable model starts at ₹2,99,900.
That gives Apple’s September launch cycle two distinct phases in India: the iPhone 18 Pro series reaches buyers first, while the company’s first foldable device follows roughly a month later.
For now, the immediate choice for premium iPhone buyers comes down to two Pro models, four storage capacities and four colours. The new Burgundy option offers a visible distinction, but the bigger financial decision sits at the other end of the specification sheet, where the 2TB Pro Max reaches ₹3.29 lakh before any eligible cashback or trade-in benefit is applied.
