Agritech start-up Verdant Impact has secured $3 million in seed funding, led by the venture capital firm Unicorn India Ventures. The funding round also saw participation from Infynyte Club, Yash Kotak, Alok Soni, and a‑IDEA NAARM.
The new investment will support the company’s plans to strengthen its technology platform, expand its team, and take its livestock management solutions to more farmers across India.
Bringing Technology Into Livestock Farming
Founded by Manish Kumar and Maya Zeph, Verdant Impact focuses on improving the way livestock is managed in India. The company builds digital tools that use artificial intelligence, connected devices, and biotechnology to help farmers monitor the health and productivity of their animals.
Millions of rural communities rely heavily on livestock raising for their livelihoods. Nonetheless, a lot of farmers continue to manage their cattle using manual observation and conventional techniques. By bringing technology that enables farmers to assess animal health, analyse performance, and make better decisions regarding breeding and care, Verdant Impact seeks to close this gap.
Fresh Capital to Support Expansion
With the latest funding, Verdant Impact plans to scale its operations and strengthen its product development efforts. The company intends to expand its team and increase its presence in regions where dairy farming is a major source of income.
Over the coming months, the startup plans to deepen its reach across North and North-East India, where many small and medium dairy farmers are looking for better tools to manage their herds.
Part of the funding will also go toward enhancing the company’s technology infrastructure. Verdant Impact is working on improving its digital platforms and exploring blockchain integration to enable more secure and reliable livestock data management.

Platforms Designed to Help Farmers Make Better Decisions
Verdant Impact has developed digital products aimed at simplifying livestock management for farmers.
One of its key offerings is Pashu.AI, a platform that uses artificial intelligence to help monitor livestock health, track genetic information, and support farm management decisions. The platform analyses data from animals and provides insights that can help farmers identify potential health issues early and improve breeding outcomes.
Another solution is Bharat Pashudhan, an Internet of Things-based device designed to monitor herd activity and health in real time. The device collects data from livestock and provides farmers with updates about the condition and movement of their animals.
Together, these tools are designed to help farmers improve productivity while reducing the uncertainty that often comes with livestock management.
A Growing Network of Farmers
Verdant Impact says its technology has already reached a large number of livestock farmers across the country. According to the company, its solutions have been used by more than 600,000 farmers in India so far.
The startup has also reported strong growth in recent months, with revenue increasing eight times since its previous funding round in March 2025. This growth reflects the rising interest in digital solutions that can help farmers manage livestock more efficiently.
Revenue Target for the Next Phase
Verdant Impact is moving into its next stage of expansion with the new financing. The business wants to keep advancing its technology and make it available to more farmers.
By March 2026, the business hopes to generate ₹100 crore in sales while maintaining profitability. Verdant Impact is concentrating on developing tools that make livestock management more accurate, data-driven, and sustainable for farmers throughout India in response to the growing need for technology-driven agricultural solutions.
