Delhi-based bath-tech startup SteamPRO has raised ₹3.8 crore in seed funding from Anicut Capital, Zeropearl VC, D2C Insider Super Angels, Atrium Ventures, and angel investors. Founded in 2020 by Sumir Chadha and Pravir Chadha, the company is focused on turning everyday bathrooms into personal wellness zones. The newly raised capital will help the startup expand manufacturing, strengthen its service network, and develop new hydro-wellness solutions for modern homes.
The Founders Who Saw a Business Inside a Daily Routine
SteamPRO was founded by Sumir Chadha and Pravir Chadha, who built the company around a simple but powerful insight. People invest heavily in fitness equipment, smart devices, and lifestyle upgrades, yet the bathroom has remained one of the least innovated spaces in the home. The founders believed that this everyday space could become a place for relaxation and recovery rather than just a place for routine use.
Their idea was to make wellness a part of daily life without requiring major changes in how people live. They focused on combining comfort, practical design, and water-conscious technology to create a product that fits naturally into existing homes. The company was built on the belief that small daily habits can have a significant impact on well-being over time.
Bringing the Spa Experience Into the Home
At the centre of SteamPRO’s offering is a residential steam shower system. The product aims to recreate a spa-like experience inside a regular home bathroom. It is designed to generate steam quickly, operate with low electricity consumption, and use minimal water. The company has focused on making the system practical for everyday use so that homeowners can treat relaxation and recovery as part of their routine rather than a luxury.
Instead of presenting itself as a traditional bathroom fittings brand, SteamPRO positions its product as a lifestyle upgrade. The focus is on helping people experience comfort, stress relief, and physical relaxation within the privacy of their own homes.

Early Signs of Strong Demand
The startup has already begun attracting attention, especially in Delhi NCR, where interest in premium home upgrades continues to grow. Many homeowners are showing curiosity about turning their bathrooms into wellness-focused spaces. The company has been receiving a steady flow of installation requests and home assessment inquiries, signalling rising awareness of in-home wellness solutions.
This demand reflects a broader shift in urban lifestyles. More people are looking for ways to create personal comfort spaces inside their homes. SteamPRO is building its identity around this change in consumer thinking.
How the Fresh Funding Will Shape the Next Phase
The ₹3.8 crore seed investment is being used to strengthen the company’s foundation. A major portion of the capital will be allocated to improving in-house manufacturing capabilities to maintain consistent product quality as demand grows. The team is also working to build a stronger installation and service network across cities to better support customers.
Another key priority is developing new hydro-wellness products to expand the brand’s presence beyond steam systems. This indicates that the founders are thinking about long-term growth and category creation rather than focusing only on immediate sales.
Building a Category Around Wellness and Design
India’s home improvement market is expanding steadily, yet the concept of wellness-focused bathroom technology is still in its early stages. SteamPRO is not competing directly with traditional sanitaryware brands that focus on fittings and hardware. Instead, it is creating a new space that blends lifestyle, health, and home design.
The founders believe the bathroom can evolve into a space for recovery and relaxation. Living rooms became entertainment hubs. Bedrooms became comfort zones. Bathrooms, too, can become personal wellness corners in the home.
A Vision That Goes Beyond a Single Product
With early investor backing and growing interest, SteamPRO plans to expand into more metro cities over time. The company’s ambition goes beyond selling steam systems. It wants to build a larger hydro-wellness ecosystem for modern homes to support comfort and long-term well-being.
The funding size may look modest compared to large rounds, but it is a strong early vote of confidence in a new category. By focusing on a space every household uses, SteamPRO wants to reshape how people think about relaxation and wellness at home.
