Bengaluru, May 5, 2026: Operant AI , founded by Vrajesh Bhavsar (CEO), Dr. Priyanka Tembey (CTO), and Ashley Roof (COO).has launched Operant Endpoint Protector, a new addition to its AI Defense Platform aimed at helping enterprises secure the fast-growing use of AI assistants, coding agents and Model Context Protocol connected tools at the employee endpoint.
The launch comes at a time when AI is no longer limited to controlled enterprise systems. Employees across HR, finance, legal, customer service, engineering and operations are now using AI tools that may interact with sensitive business data, including personnel records, financial information, customer details, source code and proprietary workflows.
For IT and security teams, the challenge is becoming more complex. Some of these tools are formally approved by organizations, while others fall into the category of shadow AI. In both cases, they can read, write and act on sensitive information, often outside the visibility of traditional security systems.
Operant AI says Endpoint Protector has been built to address this gap directly at the workstation level. The product is designed to help security teams discover AI tools in use, detect threats within agent workflows and defend against data leakage or unauthorized actions across AI prompts, MCP servers, plugins, tools and coding agents.
Vrajesh Bhavsar, CEO and Co-Founder of Operant AI, said security leaders are realizing that AI exposure is not confined to a single application or platform.
“The endpoint is where AI actually meets the workforce. It’s been the largest blind spot in the enterprise security stack and it’s the gap we built the Operant Endpoint Protector to close,” Bhavsar said.
The company said existing enterprise security tools such as EDR, CASBs and network monitoring platforms were largely built to track processes, packets and SaaS traffic. But AI agents operate at a different layer, where they interpret prompts, invoke tools, call services and take actions through trusted or encrypted channels.
This, Operant argues, leaves security teams with limited visibility into what agents are doing inside everyday enterprise applications.
Endpoint Protector will be available as a native workstation application for macOS, Windows and Linux. It is designed for enterprise-scale deployment through standard MDM and JAMF workflows and integrates with identity providers to support contextual access control and agentic identity enforcement.
The product also supports private-mode deployment for regulated and critical sectors. This includes hybrid architectures where sensitive prompts, agent traces and detected data remain within the customer’s environment, along with private-SaaS options offering data residency controls.
Its core capabilities include an Enterprise AI and MCP Registry to catalogue sanctioned and shadow AI tools, agent loop tracing, real-time threat detection, data exfiltration defence, runtime access governance and endpoint-native protection against code injection risks.
Operant AI said the system is aligned with threats listed under OWASP’s guidance for LLM applications and agentic AI, including prompt injection, agentic drift, identity anomalies and PII exfiltration.
The launch reflects a broader enterprise shift. Organizations are training employees to work with AI, but security frameworks around these workflows are still catching up. Operant AI is positioning Endpoint Protector as a control layer for this new environment, where AI usage happens not just in browsers, but inside coding environments, desktop tools and MCP-connected workflows.
