Founded in 2020, Torq develops a platform that enables security operations centers (SOCs) to manage and automate cybersecurity workflows using autonomous AI agents. Torq has expanded rapidly since its inception. The company currently employs more than 350 people worldwide, with operations spanning New York, Tel Aviv, Japan, Germany, Amsterdam, and London. Following the new funding, Torq plans to hire an additional 200 employees during 2026 across its global offices.

In 2025, the company reported approximately 300% revenue growth, driven by increased adoption among large enterprises using its platform to autonomously manage millions of security tasks.

Torq says its technology is now used by hundreds of global organizations, including Marriott, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Siemens, Uber, and Virgin Atlantic, as demand accelerates for automated security operations in the AI era.

Commenting on the fundraise, Ofer Smadari, CEO and co-founder of Torq, said the investment reflects growing confidence in the company’s approach to security operations.

“This funding accelerates our mission to define and dominate the AI SOC market. We are moving far beyond the constraints of legacy SOAR and SIEM, harnessing the Agentic AI Era to deliver outcomes our customers rely on,” Smadari said.

He added that global enterprise adoption and the partnership with Merlin Ventures position Torq to scale into U.S. federal and public-sector markets, where cybersecurity requirements are particularly stringent.

Merlin Ventures’ managing partner Shay Michel said the decision to lead the round was driven by Torq’s operational maturity and market readiness. He noted that the company’s platform combines automation with human decision-making to address real-world security threats at scale, and that the focus now is on accelerating go-to-market efforts across both commercial and government sectors.

The funds will be utilized to fuel the international expansion efforts of Torq. Moreover, there has been increased focus on utilizing cybersecurity budgets to leverage automation and AI-powered response. Nevertheless, the current round of funding by Torq has demonstrated significant investor confidence in its future role in security operations.
