The parent company of Bombay Shaving Company ended FY26 with a sharp rise in revenue and its first positive adjusted EBITDA, marking a significant change in the financial direction of the personal-care business.
Revenue climbed 139% to approximately Rs 635 crore during the year, compared with Rs 265.6 crore in FY25. The company operates Bombay Shaving Company alongside Bombae and 100Days.
The improvement was not limited to the top line. Adjusted EBITDA reached Rs 2.2 crore in FY26, reversing an adjusted EBITDA loss of Rs 38.3 crore in the previous financial year.
This was the first time the business reported positive adjusted EBITDA. Loss before tax also fell by around 85%, an improvement the company linked to structural changes in the way it operates.
Product expansion supports growth
The company said its performance was supported by continued investment in product innovation, digital-first growth, operating efficiency and consumer-led brand building.
During the year, it expanded its presence across direct-to-consumer channels and online marketplaces while continuing to improve operational efficiency.
Bombay Shaving Company strengthened its men’s grooming portfolio with launches spanning trimmers, shaving and personal-care categories. Bombae, the group’s women-focused brand, moved into hair styling, a category the company sees as an emerging growth opportunity.
Deepak Gupta, Co-Founder and COO said “FY26 represents an important milestone in our journey because it reflects the quality of the business we have been building over the last 10 years. As we enter our next phase, we remain committed to expanding our portfolio, investing in innovation and building an organisation that continues to create enduring value for consumers, partners and shareholders alike”
The broader portfolio approach gives the business room to grow beyond its original association with men’s shaving. Its recent activity shows an effort to serve a wider range of grooming routines through multiple brands and product segments.
Rs 1,000 crore revenue target set for FY27
Following the FY26 performance, the company has set a target of closing FY27 as a Rs 1,000 crore business.
It also aims to achieve a high single-digit adjusted EBITDA margin during the year. Meeting both goals would require the company to maintain strong revenue growth while protecting the operating improvements that helped it reach positive adjusted EBITDA.
The FY26 figures indicate that the business has already made substantial progress on costs and operating discipline. The next phase will involve scaling that progress across a significantly larger revenue base.
Ashu Dhingra takes charge of finance operations
The financial turnaround was accompanied by changes in the company’s leadership structure.
Ashu Dhingra joined as Chief Financial Officer in November 2025. He has more than 19 years of experience across finance, strategy and transformation, including previous leadership roles at Eternal, OLX, Walmart, Marico and ITC.
In his role, Dhingra is responsible for the company’s finance function, with a focus on governance, financial planning and the development of operating processes that can support further expansion.
The appointment comes as the company prepares for a larger scale of operations and works towards its FY27 revenue and profitability objectives.
Focus moves from turnaround to sustainable scale
Founder Shantanu Deshpande said the company’s definition of success goes beyond financial performance. Its longer-term ambition is to build brands with stronger consumer relevance and the ability to scale, with Bombay Shaving Company and Bombae positioned around changing grooming habits, personal expression and modern Indian identities.
The business also raised Rs 136 crore through a combination of primary and secondary capital infusions, providing additional support for its growth plans.
The FY26 results represent a clear financial shift for the company. Revenue has more than doubled, adjusted EBITDA has moved into positive territory and losses have narrowed considerably.
With a Rs 1,000 crore revenue target now in sight, the challenge for FY27 will be to preserve that operating discipline while expanding products, brands and distribution. The year ahead will show whether the company can turn its first EBITDA-positive performance into a sustained period of profitable growth.
