Marvel fans could be on the verge of getting another look at one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest upcoming projects. Avengers: Doomsday is expected to feature prominently during Disney’s Entertainment Showcase at D23, where fans are set to receive first looks at upcoming films and series.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is taking place in Anaheim, California, from August 14 to 16, 2026. Disney has confirmed that the Disney Entertainment Showcase will be held at the Honda Center on Friday, August 14, beginning at 7 p.m. PT.

A Major Avengers Reunion Is Taking Shape

Avengers: Doomsday will bring together a large group of Marvel characters as the Avengers face Doctor Doom. The film is expected to expand the MCU’s crossover scale by bringing together characters from different corners of the franchise, including the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts and the X-Men.

The project follows a lengthy gap since the last main Avengers movie. That has made the upcoming film one of Marvel Studios’ most anticipated releases, particularly because of its large ensemble of returning and new characters.

D23 Could Bring the Next Trailer

The Disney Entertainment Showcase is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT on August 14. D23’s official schedule confirms the timing, while the presentation itself is described as featuring exclusive first looks, announcements and appearances connected to Disney’s upcoming entertainment projects.

For viewers around the world, that starting time translates to 10 p.m. ET in the United States, 3 a.m. BST on August 15 in the UK, 4 a.m. CEST in Central Europe and 7:30 a.m. IST in India.

The full presentation schedule is:

  • Hawaii: 4:00 p.m. HST, August 14
  • Alaska: 6:00 p.m. AKDT, August 14
  • West Coast US: 7:00 p.m. PT, August 14

However, the 7 p.m. start time refers to the showcase itself. It does not confirm when any particular Marvel trailer would appear during the event.

What the New Footage Could Reveal

Earlier footage shown at a Marvel presentation has reportedly focused heavily on Doctor Doom and the characters who will stand against him. If the D23 footage follows the same material, viewers could get a closer look at Doom’s role in the story and the enormous group of heroes involved in the crossover.

Doctor Doom is positioned as the central threat in Avengers: Doomsday, making him a key focus of the film’s promotional campaign. The trailer is also expected to showcase several of the heroes who will join the fight, although Marvel has not publicly confirmed the exact contents or timing of any D23 trailer release.

The event could therefore provide fans with their clearest official look yet at how the different superhero teams will come together.

Fans May Need to Wait for an Online Release

Even if new Avengers: Doomsday footage is shown at D23, that does not necessarily mean it will immediately appear on Marvel’s official online channels. D23’s official information confirms that the Disney Entertainment Showcase will contain exclusive first looks, but it does not confirm a public online release for a specific Avengers: Doomsday trailer.

That means fans watching from home may have to wait for Marvel to officially publish any footage shown inside the Honda Center.

For now, the confirmed part is the timing of Disney’s showcase. Any trailer release remains dependent on Marvel’s presentation plans.

Avengers: Doomsday Release Date

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026. The D23 showcase could mark another important stage in Marvel’s promotional campaign as the film moves closer to its theatrical release.
