Beauty and wellness platform Bodycraft has raised Rs 120 crore in a funding round led by Singularity AMC, a Mumbai-based private equity firm that focuses on growth-stage and pre-IPO investments in India. The investment marks a significant milestone for the company as it prepares for its next phase of expansion and operational growth.

The funding comes nearly nine years after Bodycraft’s previous major capital raise. In 2017, the company secured Rs 18 crore at a pre-money valuation of Rs 55 crore. The latest investment is expected to strengthen the company’s position in India’s rapidly growing beauty, wellness, and medical aesthetics market.

Fresh Capital to Drive Growth Initiatives

Bodycraft plans to use the newly raised funds to expand its footprint across the country and enhance its service capabilities. The company said the capital will support investments in clinical technology and advanced equipment while also helping strengthen its management and operational teams.

In addition, the company intends to introduce AI-driven efficiencies across various functions and further improve customer experience. These initiatives are aimed at supporting long-term growth while maintaining operational effectiveness as the business scales.

Nearly Three Decades in Beauty and Wellness

Founded in 1997 by Manjul Gupta, Bodycraft has built an integrated platform offering beauty, wellness, and medical aesthetic services. Over the years, the company has established a presence across multiple Indian cities through a combination of company-owned and company-operated (COCO) outlets and franchise-owned and franchise-operated (FOFO) centres.

The business caters to a wide range of consumer needs, bringing together salon services, wellness offerings, and clinical aesthetic treatments under a single brand. This integrated approach has helped the company build a strong presence in the organised beauty and wellness sector.

Expanding Network Across Indian Cities

Bodycraft currently operates 67 outlets across more than 10 cities in India. Its network includes 33 clinics and 34 salons, reflecting a balanced presence across both clinical and salon-based services.

As part of its growth strategy, the company plans to add 30 new locations in the coming years. The expansion is expected to strengthen Bodycraft’s reach in existing markets while helping it enter new regions with growing demand for organised beauty and aesthetic services.

The planned rollout aligns with the company’s broader objective of increasing accessibility to its services and reinforcing its position in the premium beauty and wellness segment.

Strong Financial Performance and Growth Outlook

According to the company, Bodycraft closed the financial year 2024-25 with revenue of Rs 98 crore. It also maintained an EBITDA margin in the range of 11% to 12%, indicating stable profitability alongside revenue growth.

Looking ahead, the company expects revenue to increase to Rs 130 crore in FY26 while maintaining a similar profitability profile. The projected growth reflects the anticipated contribution from network expansion, operational improvements, and increased demand across its service categories.

Maintaining profitability while scaling operations remains a key focus area as the company continues to invest in technology, infrastructure, and customer experience enhancements.

Leadership Focused on Clinical Aesthetics and Innovation

Bodycraft is led by Chief Executive Officer Sahil Gupta and Medical Director Dr. Mikki Singh. Dr. Singh oversees the company’s clinical aesthetics business, a segment that has become an increasingly important part of Bodycraft’s overall operations.

The leadership team is expected to play a central role in executing the company’s expansion plans while strengthening service quality and operational efficiency across its growing network.

Riding the Growth of India’s Aesthetics Market

Bodycraft believes the Indian clinical aesthetics industry is entering a period of significant growth. According to the company, the market is projected to expand from approximately $2 billion in 2024 to more than $7 billion by 2033.

The anticipated growth is expected to create substantial opportunities for organised players offering professional aesthetic, wellness, and beauty services. With fresh funding in place and expansion plans underway, Bodycraft aims to strengthen its presence in this evolving market and capture a larger share of consumer demand across India.
