Enterprise voice artificial intelligence startup Bolna has raised $6.3 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst. The round also saw participation from Y Combinator, Blume Ventures, Orange Collective, Pioneer Fund, Transpose Capital, and Eight Capital, along with several angel investors.

Founders Driving Voice AI Innovation

Bolna was founded in 2024 by Maitreya Wagh and Prateek Sachan, with early support from Marmik Kartik Pandya. The founders bring together deep technical and entrepreneurial expertise to create a platform that helps enterprises automate voice interactions efficiently in India’s linguistically diverse market.

The startup is developing a self‑serve voice AI platform that allows businesses to design, deploy, and manage voice agents without long implementation cycles or specialized AI teams. The platform is built to operate in real-world telephony conditions, including regional accents and noisy environments, ensuring reliable performance across diverse customer interactions.

Investing in Infrastructure and Intelligent Systems

The proceeds from the seed round will be used to expand engineering and deployment teams, invest in proprietary AI and machine learning systems for vernacular voice, and strengthen enterprise-grade infrastructure to support large-scale deployments. This investment comes as enterprises increasingly seek tools that can automate high-volume call operations while maintaining quality and accuracy.

By focusing on vernacular capabilities and real-world performance, Bolna aims to streamline the transition from traditional interactive voice response systems and manual call workflows to scalable voice AI automation.

Rapid Growth Since Commercial Launch

Since its first commercial deployment in May 2025, Bolna has experienced rapid expansion. Daily call volumes have grown from around 1,500 calls to over 200,000 calls per day, representing over 130-fold growth in less than a year.

The Bengaluru-based platform now serves 1,050 paying customers across sectors including e-commerce, BFSI, logistics, recruitment, and education. Corporates and fast-growing startups alike are adopting Bolna’s solutions to automate routine voice tasks and scale customer engagement.

Serving Diverse Business Needs

Bolna’s customers include both large enterprises such as Varun Beverages and fast-growing startups like Spinny and Snabbit. The platform is deployed across high-volume voice workflows and in industries such as travel and matrimonial services, where multilingual calling remains critical for business operations.

By supporting more than 10 Indian languages, Bolna enables businesses to communicate naturally with customers in their preferred language, bridging gaps in India’s linguistically diverse market.

A Platform Built for Scale and Practicality

Bolna’s self-serve approach allows enterprises to move quickly from concept to live voice automation, reducing dependency on long development cycles and specialized engineering resources. The platform’s ability to handle multiple languages and real-world call conditions makes it ideal for large-scale deployments where reliability and user experience are paramount.

With the new funding, Bolna plans to advance its core technology and infrastructure further, supporting higher call volumes and broader enterprise adoption.

Shaping the Future of Enterprise Voice AI

As voice communication continues to play a central role in business-customer interactions, Bolna’s focus on accessibility, multilingual support, and robust performance positions the company as a significant player in enterprise voice AI. Its platform enables organizations to scale customer engagement efficiently without sacrificing quality, making it a practical solution for businesses across India and beyond.
