A woman travelling to work in Greater Noida West, India, had her recently purchased iPhone 18 Pro snatched after two men on a motorcycle first asked whether she was carrying the new iPhone.

The woman, identified as Shubhi Bhandari, was riding in an e-rickshaw when she took out her phone to make an online payment. Two helmet-wearing men on a motorcycle then approached from behind.

What followed was an unusually direct exchange.

According to Bhandari’s account the men initially asked her for her address. Their attention then shifted to the phone in her hand, and they asked whether it was the new iPhone. The iPhone 18 Pro was subsequently snatched from her hand.

The phone had been purchased just three days before the incident. It happened near Ek Murti Gol Chakkar in Greater Noida West, in the area covered by Bisrakh police station.

Bhandari had been on her way to work when she reached for the iPhone to complete a payment. At that point, the two men rode up from behind, according to the accounts of the incident.

Rather than immediately grabbing the device, the men reportedly spoke to her first. After asking for her address, they noticed the handset and questioned whether it was Apple’s new iPhone.

Moments later, the phone was gone.

The sequence stands out because the reported conversation suggests the men noticed and identified the handset immediately before taking it.
