Dell has launched the Dell 14S in India, bringing a lightweight aluminium laptop with Intel Core Series 3 processors, on-device AI capabilities and a claimed battery life of up to 21 hours. Starting at ₹79,990, the new laptop is aimed at students and young professionals looking for a combination of portability, performance and design.
The Dell 14S comes in multiple configurations featuring Intel Core 5 and Core 7 Series 3 processors. Both processor options include integrated Neural Processing Units (NPUs) capable of delivering up to 17 trillion operations per second (TOPS), enabling the laptop to handle supported AI workloads locally.
The India launch focuses on Intel-powered configurations, while Dell’s broader international lineup also includes AMD Ryzen AI variants.
Dell 14S features a 1.15kg aluminium design
One of the main highlights of the Dell 14S is its portable design. The laptop features an aluminium chassis measuring 13.5mm in thickness and weighs approximately 1.15kg, making it suitable for users who frequently carry their devices between classrooms, offices and other locations.
Dell is offering the laptop in four colour options: Linen, Dusty Rose, Washed Denim and Velvet Green. The colour choices reflect the company’s emphasis on personalisation alongside conventional laptop specifications.
For the display, buyers can choose between two 14-inch panels. The standard option offers a 2K resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate, while the higher-end variant features a 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both versions also support Dolby Atmos audio.
Intel Core Series 3 processors and up to 1TB storage
The Dell 14S is available with Intel Core 5 and Core 7 Series 3 processors, with configurations offering different memory and display combinations.
The entry-level configuration comes with 8GB RAM, while the higher-end Core 7 variant offers 16GB RAM. Memory uses the LPDDR5x standard and is soldered onto the motherboard. Storage options extend up to a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD.
Dell has also highlighted improvements in graphics performance compared with the previous generation, particularly in higher-end configurations.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an HDMI port and a universal audio jack.
Dell claims up to 21 hours of Netflix streaming
Battery life is another major selling point of the new laptop. Dell claims the 14S can deliver up to 21 hours of Netflix streaming on a single charge.
The laptop uses a high-density 750ED PNCM battery, which the company says is designed to operate at lower temperatures and retain its capacity over time.
However, the claimed battery life represents Dell’s stated streaming performance and may vary depending on usage patterns, display settings and other operating conditions.
Dell 14S India price and launch offers
The Dell 14S starts at ₹79,990 in India, with three configurations available. Introductory purchase benefits include credit card discounts of up to ₹10,000, zero-interest financing and accidental damage protection.
The laptop is expected to see broader retail availability by late November.
Commenting on the launch, Raj Kumar Rishi, Vice President at Dell Technologies, said the company designed the laptop around the preferences of India’s younger consumers, who increasingly view technology as an extension of their personal identity.
The Dell 14S was also part of Dell’s broader product showcase at CES 2026, where the company presented several devices, including the XPS 13 and Alienware 15.
With its focus on a lightweight build, multiple colour choices, higher-resolution display options and integrated AI processing, the Dell 14S adds another option to India’s premium laptop segment.
