Bengaluru-based building materials quick commerce startup Fixxly has secured $5.5 million in a seed funding round led by Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners. The fresh investment will help the company strengthen its technology platform and expand its operational capabilities as it prepares for its commercial launch.

The startup is set to officially begin operations on September 1, with Bengaluru serving as its first market. The company plans to expand to additional cities after establishing its presence in the Karnataka capital.

Funding to Accelerate Technology and Market Expansion

The newly raised capital will primarily be used to enhance Fixxly’s AI-powered technology platform while scaling its operations ahead of launch. The company is focusing on building a technology-driven supply chain designed to improve the speed and reliability of building material deliveries.

Fixxly aims to simplify procurement for professionals and consumers who often require construction materials on short notice. By combining artificial intelligence with a localized fulfilment network, the startup intends to reduce waiting times and improve product availability.

The commercial rollout scheduled for September 1 marks the company’s first major milestone since its founding earlier this year.

Bringing Quick Commerce to the Construction Sector

Founded in 2026 by entrepreneurs Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, Fixxly is building an AI-powered quick commerce platform focused exclusively on construction and home improvement materials.

The platform is designed to serve a wide range of customers, including contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, interior designers, and homeowners. Users will be able to order products such as plywood, paints, electrical equipment, lighting products, hardware, and plumbing supplies through the platform.

According to the company, orders can be delivered in as little as 30 minutes, offering a faster alternative to traditional procurement channels for building materials.

The startup is targeting a segment where timely availability of materials can play a critical role in keeping projects on schedule. By enabling rapid deliveries, Fixxly aims to reduce downtime for professionals working on construction, renovation, and interior projects.

AI-Powered Supply Network at the Core

A key part of Fixxly’s operating model is its AI-driven supply network. Instead of relying on conventional warehousing alone, the platform fulfils orders through a network of local dark stores.

The company’s technology matches real-time inventory with customer demand while considering factors such as product availability and proximity to the delivery location. This approach is intended to improve fulfilment efficiency and support faster deliveries across the areas it serves.

Using localized inventory and intelligent order routing, the platform seeks to ensure that frequently required building materials are available close to customers, helping reduce delivery times.

Founders Bring Deep Industry Experience

Fixxly’s founding team brings experience from both the home improvement and quick commerce sectors.

Co-founder Shezan Bhojani previously co-founded home interiors startup DesignCafe. In 2024, DesignCafe merged with HomeLane, creating one of the country’s larger home interiors businesses. His experience in the interiors and home improvement industry provides insights into the procurement challenges faced by contractors, designers, and homeowners.

Co-founder Sachith Varma has an operations and logistics background. Before starting Fixxly, he led supply chain design at Zepto, where he worked on building efficient logistics systems. He also managed last-mile operations at Flipkart, gaining experience in large-scale delivery networks and fulfilment.

The combination of expertise in home interiors, supply chain management, and quick commerce forms the foundation of Fixxly’s business strategy as it prepares to enter the market.

Preparing for Commercial Launch

With fresh seed funding in place, Fixxly is entering the next phase of its growth journey. The company will initially focus on Bengaluru before expanding its services to other cities over time.

By leveraging artificial intelligence, localized fulfilment, and a network of dark stores, the startup aims to bring the convenience of quick commerce to the building materials industry. As it prepares for its September 1 launch, the company is focused on building the technology and operational infrastructure needed to support fast and reliable deliveries for professionals and homeowners alike.
