DocPharma, a prescription-compliant quick commerce supply chain platform for the healthcare sector, has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Equentis. The round also saw participation from existing investors 100Unicorns and Vinners, along with a consortium of strategic angel investors.
The latest funding will support DocPharma’s expansion across India as the company looks to strengthen its healthcare fulfilment infrastructure and widen its geographic reach.
New Dark Stores to Support City Expansion
DocPharma plans to use the fresh capital to build 100 new compliant and licensed dark stores as it expands its presence from more than 12 cities to over 50 cities.
The new fulfilment centres are expected to strengthen the supply chain infrastructure that currently supports more than 30 health and wellness platforms across the country. Through this network, DocPharma provides backend supply chain capabilities to businesses that want to offer medicines and healthcare products without developing their own fulfilment infrastructure.
The Bengaluru-based company operates a network designed specifically for prescription-compliant healthcare fulfilment, with licensed dark stores forming a key part of its operating model.
Building the Backend for Healthcare Delivery
Founded in 2023 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma operates as a backend supply chain platform for healthcare businesses.
Its operations combine licensed dark stores with the DocPharma One SaaS platform, AI-powered inventory management and prescription-compliant fulfilment infrastructure. The company currently works with more than 30 healthcare and wellness platforms across India.
Its customer base spans several healthcare and wellness categories, including e-pharmacies, health insurers, corporate wellness platforms, hospitals, direct-to-consumer wellness and nutraceutical brands, and pet care businesses.
Rather than requiring these companies to establish their own supply chains, DocPharma provides the infrastructure needed to manage inventory, process orders and fulfil healthcare products for consumers.

Technology Connects Inventory and Fulfilment
DocPharma’s proprietary SaaS platform brings several supply chain functions together through a single operating system. These include warehouse management, inventory intelligence, order management and fulfilment.
The platform is designed to provide real-time visibility into inventory and route orders to the nearest compliant fulfilment centre. It also supports prescription-compliant processing, which is an important part of fulfilling medicine orders.
By combining technology with its physical fulfilment network, the company aims to help healthcare platforms manage their supply chains while meeting the requirements associated with prescription-based medicine delivery.
More Than 800,000 Orders Fulfilled
DocPharma said it currently operates across more than 12 cities and has fulfilled over 800,000 orders. The company has reported a fulfilment rate of more than 95% and said its operations have impacted more than 500,000 lives across India.
The company’s expansion plans will increase the number of cities covered by its infrastructure and add 100 new licensed dark stores to its existing network.
The funding will therefore be directed toward expanding both the physical and technology-led elements of DocPharma’s supply chain model.
Healthcare Quick Commerce Gains Momentum
DocPharma’s funding comes as healthcare delivery businesses in India continue to explore faster fulfilment models while operating within the regulatory requirements associated with medicines.
Another Bengaluru-based pharmacy-first quick commerce startup, Plazza, raised $15 million in Series A funding in July. The round was co-led by Accel, Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners.
Plazza said it would use the funding to strengthen its AI-driven inventory intelligence, supply chain capabilities and pharmacy network, while targeting medicine delivery within 15 to 30 minutes.
Against this backdrop, DocPharma is focusing on the infrastructure that enables healthcare and wellness platforms to provide faster access to medicines and related products without having to build and operate their own supply chain networks.
