Bengaluru-based startup ZillOut has secured ₹2.75 crore in a seed funding round aimed at expanding its AI and automation capabilities for hospitality and event venues. The round saw participation from Jindagi Live Angel Fund, a returning investor, along with several angel investors. Co-founder Anshul Jhawar also invested personally in the round. With this funding, ZillOut’s total capital raised now stands at approximately ₹4.35 crore, as confirmed by the company’s public announcement.

Building the Future of “Going Out” with AI

Founded in 2022 by Gaurav Sharma and Nayan Mishra, ZillOut was created to solve one of the hospitality industry’s most persistent challenges, fragmented venue operations. The company envisions itself as India’s first AI-driven SaaS platform designed specifically for nightlife, F&B, and live experience venues. Its technology integrates guest management, booking systems, and operational tools into one intelligent platform, helping venue owners manage everything from guest lists to revenue data seamlessly.

The startup describes its product as a three-layer architecture built on Infrastructure, Data, and Distribution, all woven together through AI. This structure allows venues to gain insights into guest behavior, optimize staffing and inventory, automate promotions, and create more personalized guest experiences.

Streamlining an Industry Plagued by Fragmentation

In India, most nightlife and event venues rely on multiple unconnected systems, including separate POS terminals, booking apps, spreadsheets, and third-party promoters. This fragmentation often results in inefficient workflows, poor data management, and unnoticed revenue leakages. ZillOut’s mission is to simplify this process by unifying operations into one AI-powered platform.

By automating back-end operations and capturing guest data in real time, ZillOut claims its clients can improve speed of service, increase bookings, and eliminate revenue losses. The company’s founders believe that as the Indian hospitality market evolves, technology-led solutions like theirs will become essential infrastructure for venues looking to modernize their operations.

Rapid Traction Across Major Indian Cities

According to company-reported figures, ZillOut has already onboarded over 150 venues across 20 cities including Bengaluru, Goa, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram. Through its platform, the startup has processed more than ₹80 crore in transactions, handled over 6 lakh verified guest entries, and facilitated more than 50,000 online bookings. Additionally, the platform has reportedly helped venues recover or prevent revenue leakages worth over ₹2 crore.

These statistics, while self-reported, highlight the strong demand for digital solutions in India’s hospitality and nightlife sectors. The startup’s consistent expansion into metropolitan and tourism-heavy regions suggests growing trust among venue operators in its technology-driven approach.

How the Funds Will Be Used

ZillOut has stated that the newly raised funds will be used to enhance its AI and automation systems, improve its core technology infrastructure, and expand its presence in both domestic and international markets. Part of the capital will also go toward marketing, sales, and operational scaling.

The company plans to introduce new AI-based modules focused on predictive analytics, guest profiling, and automated marketing. These upgrades aim to help venues anticipate guest demand patterns and personalize experiences at scale. The founders have also indicated plans to expand to Dubai and Southeast Asia, signaling an ambition to make ZillOut a globally recognized venue-tech brand.

Challenges and Opportunities Ahead

Although it has experienced swift expansion, ZillOut has a number of challenges. The hospitality industry, specifically in nightlife and events, is still a highly fragmented, price-sensitive industry. Many small venues still manually operate or utilize cheaper options, which will make dual use- and adoption of cutting-edge AI solutions a much slower process as these technologies are definitely a step up from previous operating paradigms. Key priorities for venue operators still include data privacy, cybersecurity, and integration with current POS systems.

That said, India’s “going-out” economy remains intact and growing with higher disposable income and younger audiences wanting specially-focused entertainment experiences. It is witnessing substantial technology adoption post-pandemic where tech is becoming the central management of guest engagement & venue performance. If ZillOut continues its current trajectory, it could position itself as a leading player in this niche but rapidly scaling segment.

A Step Toward Smarter Nightlife

Following its recent seed funding, ZillOut is ready to bolster its tech and expand beyond Indian borders. The company has established itself as a leader with its AI-powered technology, which combines operational efficiency with guest experience improvement, in a space that is ready to evolve.

As the firm begins to scale, it will be interesting to see how ZillOut demonstrates long-term sustainability, as not only it brings venue to its platform but can show improved profitability, guest satisfaction, and transparency around operations.

ZillOut represents a broader evolution in India’s entertainment and hospitality space, where data and information are slowly replacing manual systems. If ZillOut does this well, it may look to become the leading technology partner for venues globally, able to offer a new experience of “going out” in the age of technology.
