Delhi-NCR-based commercial interiors startup Officebanao has raised nearly $4 million, or about Rs 35 crore, as it pushes ahead with plans to expand its business in India’s office and retail fit-out market. The company said the fundraise is part of a larger $7.7 million round that values the startup at $70 million post-money.

Officebanao Eyes Expansion After Fresh Funding

Officebanao operates in a space that has quietly become more important as businesses rethink how offices, retail outlets and commercial spaces are designed and delivered. The startup works on interior design and fit-outs for commercial real estate, positioning itself in a segment where execution speed, vendor coordination and cost control can often decide whether a project succeeds or slips.

According to the company, the latest fundraising was structured in two tranches. The first $3.85 million infusion came in May-June last year, while the second $3.85 million tranche was completed in January-February 2026. The round was led by existing investor Lightspeed, with participation from Mangum II and Medra Family.

This is not the first time Lightspeed has backed the startup. Officebanao had earlier raised $6 million in seed funding from the venture capital firm in 2023, underlining continued investor confidence in the company’s business model and growth trajectory.

The startup has also reported a sharp jump in revenue over the last two financial years. It said revenue rose from Rs 22 crore in FY23 to Rs 138 crore in FY25, and that it is targeting Rs 225 crore in the 2025-26 fiscal.

Those numbers suggest Officebanao is trying to move beyond being seen as a conventional services company.

Founder and CEO Tushar Mittal indicated that the company’s larger ambition is to build a technology-led platform for the commercial interiors business, where design, procurement, contractor allocation and quality checks are all linked through data and transparency.

The company has also seen a change in its founding team. Officebanao said Mittal has acquired the equity stakes of co-founders Akshya Kumar and Divyanshu Sharma, who are moving on to pursue independent ventures.

The funding comes at a time when startups tied to physical infrastructure and workplace services are drawing attention for blending traditional sectors with platform-driven execution.

In Officebanao’s case, the pitch appears to rest on turning a fragmented, project-heavy industry into a more standardised and scalable business. Whether that ambition translates into durable market leadership will depend on how effectively it can maintain growth while handling the operational complexities that come with commercial interiors. That said, the latest round gives the company both capital and validation as it looks to expand further.
