Taylor Swift was back in familiar territory on Monday, September 14, but this time with a visible reminder of a major change in her life.

The singer, who is 36 years old, went to the first game of the season of her husband’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, which was played against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium. Taylor Swift wore not only her wedding band but also the engagement ring during the game.

It marked Swift’s first Chiefs game since she and Kelce married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Swift watched the game from a suite, where her rings were clearly visible as she clapped and celebrated during the Chiefs’ performance.

Her wedding band was worn alongside her old mine-cut diamond engagement ring designed by Kindred Lubeck. Footage shared by a fan account on Instagram also showed Swift touching and turning the ring on her finger during the game.

For the outing, Swift leaned into Chiefs colors with a gingham collared dress. She paired the look with her shorter hairstyle and red lipstick.

She was joined in the suite by her mother, Andrea Swift, along with Jason Kelce, Donna Kelce and actor Tom Cruise.

The night also gave Swift plenty to celebrate on the field. Kansas City defeated Denver 31-10. During the third quarter, Kelce recorded a 59-yard reception, with Swift, Jason Kelce and Donna Kelce seen celebrating from the stands.

Not the first public appearance of Swift’s wedding band

While the Chiefs game placed renewed attention on Swift’s wedding jewelry, it was not the first time the singer had publicly displayed the ring since her marriage.

Swift appeared at the Grammy Museum on August 18 for “The Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift: A 20-Year Retrospective,” roughly six weeks after the wedding.

During the event, she performed a piano medley that included “I Knew It, I Knew You,” “August” and “All Too Well.” Close-up footage from the performance showed both her wedding band and engagement ring.

For that appearance, Swift wore a sheer sage-green Dôen dress featuring a deep-red shoulder embellishment, along with round pendant earrings. Her hair was styled in an updo with bangs, completed with berry-toned lipstick.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce married in New York

Swift and Kelce married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, with their wedding becoming a major milestone in a relationship that had already drawn significant public attention.

For the ceremony, both bride and groom wore white. Swift’s gown and Kelce’s white tuxedo were created by Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior Haute Couture.

Kelce later spoke about the wedding during an interview with ESPN anchor Chris Berman ahead of the football season.

“It was the best night of my life. Marrying Taylor was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up, and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air,” Kelce said.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes also recalled enjoying the celebration, including spending time on the dance floor.

A familiar Chiefs scene with a new chapter

Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead carried many of the familiar elements seen during her previous visits to Chiefs games: a suite filled with family and friends, enthusiastic reactions from the stands and a strong show of support for Kelce.

This time, however, one small detail reflected a much bigger change.

With her wedding band alongside the engagement ring fans had seen before, Swift attended her first Chiefs regular-season game as Kelce’s wife, while Kansas City opened its campaign with a convincing victory.
