Agileday, a technology company headquartered in Espoo, Finland, has raised €6.4 million in Series A funding as it pushes for international expansion and a broader rollout of its AI operating platform for professional services.

The round was led by Newion, with participation from Specialist VC, Vendep Capital, and Business Finland, the company said.

Why Agileday thinks professional services needs a new “operating system”

Agileday’s pitch is straightforward: professional services firms often don’t struggle because they lack talent, but because the systems running the business are outdated and fragmented. Co-founder and co-CEO Jaakko Hartikainen said the company was created after seeing how “outdated management systems were holding both people and businesses back,” pointing to fragmented information and reactive decision-making as recurring pain points.

Agileday says its platform brings together sales, project, and financial data, and combines that with people’s skills and interests in a single transparent view, an attempt to make planning and delivery less siloed and more human-centric.

What the product does?

The company describes its product as an AI-powered professional services automation (PSA) platform that connects talent, allocations, timesheets, and project financials into one operating system for services firms.

Agileday also positions the platform as the operational engine between CRM and financial tools, synchronising sales pipeline, project delivery, and financial data in real time, with AI integrated into the core functionality.

In plain terms: it’s aiming to sit in the middle of a services firm’s day-to-day, where commercial intent (pipeline) meets execution (delivery) and outcomes (financials).

The Founders

Agileday was founded in 2022 by Jaakko Hartikainen, Mikko Virtanen, Jaakko Hallavo, and Hannu Kärkkäinen.

The company reports it serves 70+ global service companies and has seen 3x year-over-year growth, with demand from enterprise clients. It names Apply Digital, Propeller and The Electric Factory in North America, and Knowit, Siili Solutions and Eficode in Europe as examples.

Co-founder and co-CEO Mikko Virtanen linked the company’s go-to-market narrative to “Nordic values, trust and radical transparency,” and said Agileday is competing against larger incumbents, claiming a “100% win rate in client evaluations across all markets.”

Agileday says the fresh capital will go into scaling its technology and accelerating growth across Europe and North America.

Investor view

Newion’s Anton Keller said Agileday is “redefining how professional services firms prepare for the future,” adding that the founders’ firsthand experience running service companies shows up in a product focused on real operational pain points.
