GreenTech, a technology-driven operations and maintenance company focused on wind turbine asset management, has raised Rs 30 crore in its first funding round. The round, led entirely by Transition VC, includes a mix of equity and debt. This marks a significant milestone for the company as it looks to scale its technology platforms and operational footprint across India and select international markets.

Funding to Accelerate Technology and Global Expansion

According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to expand GreenTech’s global infrastructure and enhance its digital capabilities. A key focus area will be the upgrade of its predictive maintenance platforms powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, along with improvements to its SCADA analytics systems. The funding will also support business development efforts in India and other important wind energy markets globally, as GreenTech looks to strengthen its presence beyond domestic operations.

Building a Full-Spectrum Wind Services Platform

Founded in 2018 by Daniel Raj, GreenTech operates as an independent service provider offering end-to-end operations and maintenance solutions for wind turbine fleets. The company delivers a broad range of services designed to support asset owners throughout the turbine lifecycle. These include predictive and preventive maintenance, corrective and major corrective services, and full-scope O&M solutions.

In addition, GreenTech provides SCADA modernization services, blade inspection, and crane-less replacement of major components. The company also maintains in-house repair capabilities across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, enabling faster turnaround times and tighter control over service quality.

Strong Domestic Footprint with Growing Overseas Presence

GreenTech currently operates across all major wind-producing states in India, working with asset owners to improve turbine reliability and maximize energy generation. Alongside its domestic footprint, the company has been steadily expanding its international presence, particularly in Southeast Asia.

By offering technology-led maintenance and asset management services, GreenTech aims to help customers extend turbine lifespan while improving overall performance and availability. Its growing cross-border operations reflect increasing demand for specialized wind O&M services in emerging renewable energy markets.

Plans to Scale Analytics and Repair Infrastructure

Headquartered in Coimbatore, GreenTech plans to further strengthen its analytics engine as part of its next phase of growth. The company intends to expand its existing repair and refurbishment facility into a multi-disciplinary hub. This facility is expected to cover a wider range of services, including mechanical, electrical, generator, gearbox, and electronic card repair.

At the same time, GreenTech plans to scale its predictive maintenance algorithms using artificial intelligence and machine learning. These capabilities are central to the company’s strategy of enabling early fault detection, reducing unplanned downtime, and optimizing maintenance costs for wind asset owners.

Growth Outlook and Revenue Ambitions

With the planned technology upgrades and facility expansion, GreenTech is targeting a multifold increase in revenue over the next 24 months. The company believes that deeper analytics, stronger in-house repair capabilities, and wider market reach will support sustained growth as demand for reliable wind turbine management continues to rise.

Extensive Supply Chain and Multi-Brand Expertise

GreenTech states that it manages multi-brand wind assets and supports customers across India and Asia, including markets such as Vietnam and Sri Lanka. The company is also venturing into additional countries in the Southeast Asia and Middle East and North Africa regions.

Its operational scale is supported by a broad supply-chain ecosystem that includes more than 100 suppliers, over 20 repair loops, and more than seven major component partners. GreenTech also maintains an inventory of over 6,000 components, allowing it to respond efficiently to maintenance and repair requirements across diverse turbine platforms.

As the wind energy sector continues to mature, GreenTech’s latest funding round positions it to play a larger role in improving asset performance through technology-driven operations and maintenance solutions.
