Aerospace deep-tech company Misochain Technologies Pvt Ltd has raised ₹18 crore in a funding round led by Capital-A, as the startup pushes to localise aircraft subsystems that Indian defence and aviation platforms still often source from overseas.

The company said the fresh capital will be used to set up a dedicated manufacturing facility, accelerate product certification programmes, and scale engineering, testing and MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) capabilities aimed at serving UAV manufacturers and global aerospace customers.

Who founded Misochain Technologies and what it makes?

Founded in 2019 by former Honeywell Aerospace engineers Rama Kandula and Murali Krishnan, Misochain builds indigenous, flight-critical aircraft components for defence and global aviation platforms.

Its current portfolio includes air data probes, vibration isolation systems, actuators and solenoid valves, hardware that feeds directly into an aircraft’s flight management and control systems.

Misochain positions itself in the market as being one of the early entrants in the Indian companies that develop air data probes domestically, a highly regulated market where the hurdles for certification are significant, the nature of the buyer-supplier relation is long-term, and the product life cycle spans over many years. This determines who enters the platform and who gets left behind in the aerospace sector.

What the founders and investor are saying?

Rama Kandula, Co-Founder and CEO, said India has built strong aircraft and defence platforms, but many flight-critical subsystems still depend on overseas suppliers, and that the new funding will help Misochain advance certification timelines, deepen engineering capability, and move closer to serial deployment.

Capital-A’s Founder and Lead Investor Ankit Kedia pointed to the long-game nature of aerospace manufacturing, where certification depth and execution discipline matter and said Misochain has reached a key point by achieving technical qualification for flight-critical systems.

The round and what’s disclosed

The round also saw participation from other investors who chose to remain unnamed. Multiple reports describe the raise as a seed round , while at least one outlet referred to it as Series A .

The funding lands at a time when India’s aerospace manufacturing ambitions increasingly hinge on suppliers that can clear the toughest gate in aviation: certification.

Misochain’s focus on components that are both mission-critical and import-heavy positions it in the exact segment where “build in India” is the hardest to execute and the most valuable when it works.
