The Surat-based startup Kreativespace, founded by Vinet Kakadea, is positioning itself as a homegrown alternative in the AI writing tools space

Surat-based AI writing startup Kreativespace is looking to carve out space in a category largely led by global platforms such as Grammarly and QuillBot, with a product built around affordability, accessibility, and India-focused technology development.

Founded by Vinet Kakadea and incubated at IIT Kharagpur, Kreativespace has been developed as an AI-powered writing platform for students, researchers, educators, professionals, content creators, startups, and enterprises. The company says its broader vision is aligned with India’s push for self-reliant technology under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

The platform brings together multiple writing-related tools in one place, addressing a common problem faced by users who often rely on separate subscriptions for grammar correction, paraphrasing, plagiarism checking, citation generation, editing, and content refinement.

Kreativespace currently combines eight AI-powered writing tools. Its latest additions include an AI Humanizer and Message AI feature, allowing users to generate, rewrite, refine, and humanize content without switching between different platforms.

The idea for the company emerged from Kakadea’s own experience as a student in the United States at New York University and Marymount University. During that period, he saw how students, researchers, and working professionals often had to use multiple paid tools to manage different parts of the writing process. That gap became the starting point for building a single writing-focused platform at a more accessible price point.

Kreativespace is available through its web platform, mobile apps on the App Store and Google Play, browser extensions for Chrome, Mozilla, and Edge, along with a Google Docs add-on.

The startup has also gained recognition across several startup and technology platforms. It has been incubated at IIT Kharagpur, selected under SSIP 2.0 through SVNIT University, chosen by the Ministry of Education to present at the Bodhan AI Conclave, accepted into the NVIDIA Inception Program and AWS Startup Program, and recognised by DPIIT under the Startup India initiative.

Speaking about the company’s larger goal, Vinet Kakadea, Founder of Kreativespace, said, “Kreativespace’s vision is to digitalize the entire Indian education ecosystem to support PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme.”

With AI adoption growing across education, research, and enterprise workflows, Kreativespace is attempting to build an Indian alternative for users who want writing support without depending on multiple global tools. Its focus on bundled features, pricing accessibility, and institutional backing could help it stand out in a fast-expanding AI writing market.
