Samsung did not take long to react after Apple’s 2026 event.

Instead of issuing a lengthy statement, the company turned to social media, posting a series of sharp, playful messages aimed at Apple and its newly announced foldable iPhone. Across four posts, Samsung repeatedly suggested that some of Apple’s latest ideas looked familiar.

The tone was unmistakably teasing.

In one of its most direct posts, Samsung accused Apple of serving up ideas that Samsung believes it has already explored.

“Let us know when you’re done reheating our leftovers 😉”

The message framed Apple’s latest announcements as something Samsung had seen before, with the company using humour rather than a detailed product comparison to make its point.

Samsung Brings Duolingo Into the Apple Joke

Samsung followed that with another joke, this time dragging Duolingo into the conversation.

Referencing the “Duo” name connected with Apple’s foldable, Samsung posted:

“I’m so sorry, @DuoLingo. They copied us too #Solidarity”

The post turned the naming discussion into a three-way joke, with Samsung pretending to sympathise with Duolingo while continuing its broader suggestion that Apple was borrowing familiar ideas.

It was less about making a technical argument and more about keeping the conversation going through a short, shareable punchline.

Samsung Brags About Folding Phones Three Ways

Samsung’s next response focused on folding itself.

Taking aim at the idea of consumers having to wait for Apple’s foldable device, Samsung wrote:

“Making us wait? Fine. We’ll be over here, folding 3 ways.”

The message positioned Samsung as already moving further with foldable designs while Apple enters the category with its own approach.

Again, Samsung kept the post deliberately brief. There were no specifications, comparisons or technical explanations. The point was delivered through one line: while Apple talks about folding, Samsung wants people to know it is already thinking beyond a single fold.

“So Far, So Same”

Perhaps the shortest jab was also the clearest.

Samsung simply posted:

“So far, So Same”

The phrase summed up the theme running through all four reactions. Samsung’s campaign was built around portraying Apple’s announcements as familiar rather than completely new.

Taken together, the posts form a coordinated social media dig rather than a conventional product response.

Samsung did not need to name every feature it believed Apple had followed. Instead, it relied on humour, timing and short lines designed to be instantly understood and easily shared.

Samsung Keeps the Apple Rivalry Alive on Social Media

The posts show Samsung leaning into one of the oldest parts of its rivalry with Apple: public teasing.

Rather than responding with a formal comparison, Samsung chose jokes about “leftovers,” the “Duo” name, multi-folding devices and the deliberately dismissive “So far, So Same.”

The strategy keeps attention on Samsung at a moment when Apple is dominating the conversation around its latest announcements.

Whether people see the tweets as clever marketing or simply another round of brand rivalry, Samsung’s message is clear. It wants consumers to believe that Apple’s move into foldables looks a lot like territory Samsung has already been exploring.

And this time, Samsung decided four tweets were enough to say it.
