Mahindra has unveiled the production-ready Scorpio Lifestyler, a new lifestyle pickup based on the Scorpio N. The pickup is scheduled to launch in India in April 2027 and is set to enter a segment currently represented by models such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.

The Scorpio Lifestyler has been developed with both Indian and international markets in mind. For global markets, the pickup will be known simply as the Mahindra Lifestyler. Its unveiling marks an important step in Mahindra’s plans to expand its lifestyle and utility vehicle portfolio.

Scorpio DNA Shapes the New Pickup

The Scorpio Lifestyler carries an upright and muscular design that clearly connects it with the Scorpio family. At the front, it gets a honeycomb-pattern grille flanked by L-shaped daytime running lights. Scorpio lettering is placed along the edge of the bonnet, while a chunky front bash plate adds to the rugged appearance.

Mahindra branding is also visible on the front, and the fog lamps are positioned vertically. The overall design gives the pickup a strong road presence while retaining the tough character expected from a lifestyle-oriented vehicle.

The side profile features prominent body cladding, a double-cab layout and roof rails. At the rear, vertically positioned LED tail-lamps, C-shaped lighting elements, Mahindra badging on the boot lid and a rugged bumper continue the design theme.

Built From the Global Pik Up Concept

The Scorpio Lifestyler is the production version of Mahindra’s Global Pik Up project, which was first shown as a concept in 2023. The production vehicle retains the broad rugged character of that earlier concept while being developed as a practical lifestyle pickup for multiple markets.

Mahindra has already established a presence in international pickup markets. In February 2026, the company announced an order for 35,000 single-cab Scorpio Pik Ups from Indonesia’s state-owned Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. The vehicles are being supplied for the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih project.

The new Lifestyler will take a different position, focusing on the lifestyle pickup segment rather than being purely a commercial work vehicle.

April 2027 Launch Planned for India

The Scorpio Lifestyler is scheduled to reach the Indian market in April 2027. The vehicle has been unveiled well ahead of its market launch, giving Mahindra time to build awareness around its new pickup offering.

The pickup is positioned to compete with established lifestyle models such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. Mahindra’s move also strengthens its presence in a segment where customers typically look for a combination of everyday usability, rugged styling and off-road capability.

The announced price positioning places the Scorpio Lifestyler around the Rs 19.79 lakh mark, with reports indicating that the eventual entry price is expected to be below Rs 19.79 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom.

More Than a Pickup for Mahindra

The Lifestyler is part of a wider product push from Mahindra, which has continued to expand its SUV and commercial vehicle range. The company’s current portfolio includes the Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, Thar and several electric SUVs, while its commercial vehicle lineup includes multiple pickup models.

Mahindra’s latest annual report also highlights the importance of its international operations and Scorpio Pik Up range. The company reported securing its largest-ever export order, involving 35,000 Scorpio Pik Ups for an Indonesian state-owned enterprise.

With the Scorpio Lifestyler, Mahindra is now preparing to bring its Scorpio-based lifestyle pickup strategy to a broader audience. Its April 2027 launch will determine how the new model performs against established rivals in India’s growing lifestyle pickup market.

The production-spec Lifestyler’s rugged styling, double-cab configuration and Scorpio-inspired design give it a distinct identity, while its planned global availability under the Mahindra Lifestyler name underlines the company’s intention to position the pickup beyond the Indian market.
