Netflix’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look could be longer than initially expected, with an unverified listing briefly suggesting that the presentation may be split into multiple episodes.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix on August 27. However, a screenshot reportedly taken from Netflix Portugal appeared to show three separate episode listings for the presentation.

Three Listings Point to a Longer GTA 6 Showcase

According to the reported Netflix listing, the three episodes were shown with runtimes of 23 minutes and 37 seconds, 24 minutes and 41 seconds, and 18 minutes and 29 seconds.

If those runtimes are accurate, they would add up to more than 66 minutes of GTA 6 footage. That would make the Extended Look considerably longer than a conventional game trailer or short promotional video.

However, the information should be treated cautiously. The reported listings have since disappeared from Netflix, and the platform’s current listing does not display an episode count or runtime for the presentation.

Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive and Netflix have also not confirmed that the Extended Look will be released as a three-part presentation.

Netflix Listing May Not Reflect Final Format

The temporary appearance of the three episode placeholders does not necessarily mean that viewers will receive three separate episodes on August 27.

The listings could have been unfinished placeholders that were accidentally made visible on Netflix Portugal. They could also have resulted from a website error or information that was later changed before the official release.

For now, there is no confirmed runtime for the Extended Look, and the reported durations should not be considered an official indication of what Netflix will ultimately release.

Take-Two Hints at More GTA 6 Marketing

While the Netflix listing remains unconfirmed, comments from Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick suggest that Rockstar has more promotional material planned for GTA 6.

Zelnick previously described the Extended Look as “one of the hors d’oeuvres” and indicated that more would follow, comparing the marketing campaign to a meal that includes appetizers, a main course and dessert.

His comments suggest that the Netflix presentation is part of a broader promotional campaign rather than the only major look at the game before launch.

Zelnick has also said that the Netflix presentation will “feel like a show” and encouraged audiences to watch it, adding to expectations surrounding the upcoming release.

Extended Look Gets a Two-Stage Release

The GTA 6: An Extended Look is scheduled to premiere on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET on August 27.

The presentation will then arrive on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the official GTA 6 website six hours later, at 9 p.m. ET. This will give viewers another way to watch the material after its initial Netflix debut.

Whether the Extended Look ultimately appears as one presentation or multiple episodes remains unclear. Until Rockstar, Take-Two or Netflix provides further details, the reported three-episode listing and its runtimes remain unconfirmed.

GTA 6 Release Date Remains Set for November 2026

Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

With the Netflix presentation approaching, the Extended Look is expected to provide another substantial look at the highly anticipated game. However, the exact structure and length of the presentation will only be clear once the official release arrives.
