Apple’s next Pro iPhones could arrive with a noticeably higher price tag, particularly for buyers in India and the United States. Early expectations around the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max point to price increases alongside a new A20 Pro chip, camera upgrades and storage options that may extend all the way to 2TB.

Apple has not confirmed pricing for either model, so the figures currently being discussed remain estimates. Reports cited ahead of the launch suggest that the ongoing memory-chip shortage could contribute to higher prices for the upcoming Pro devices.

iPhone 18 Pro expected price in India, Dubai and the US

In India, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to start at around Rs 1.44 lakh. That would put it above the iPhone 17 Pro, which was priced at Rs 1,34,900.

Buyers in Dubai could see prices of roughly AED 5,799 to AED 5,999, depending on the storage configuration. In the United States, the iPhone 18 Pro is tipped to start somewhere between $1,249 and $1,399, compared with the $1,099 starting price cited for the iPhone 17 Pro.

The ranges suggest that Apple’s Pro model could become more expensive across all three markets, although the final gap will only become clear once official prices are announced.

iPhone 18 Pro Max may cross Rs 1.70 lakh for higher storage options

The bigger price jump could be seen with the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The handset is expected to start at around Rs 1.55 lakh in India, while some estimates place the highest-storage version at Rs 1.70 lakh or more.

In Dubai, expected pricing currently sits between AED 6,199 and AED 6,399. US pricing could fall between $1,349 and $1,499, compared with the cited $1,199 starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

That Rs 1.70 lakh figure is particularly notable because it would push the top-end Pro Max further into ultra-premium smartphone territory. For now, however, it should be treated as an expectation rather than an announced retail price.

A20 Pro chip and 2nm technology tipped for the iPhone 18 Pro series

Price may not be the only major change.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are rumoured to use Apple’s A20 Pro chip, which is said to be manufactured using 2nm technology. The phones are also expected to feature Apple’s own 5G modem and ship with iOS 27, with increased emphasis on Apple’s AI-related features.

None of these specifications has been presented as confirmed in the available information, making it important to separate current expectations from Apple’s eventual product announcement.

Three 48MP rear cameras could be part of the upgrade

Camera hardware is another area where the new Pro models could see substantial changes.

The expected rear setup consists of three cameras: a 48MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide camera and 48MP periscope telephoto camera. An 18MP front camera is also being tipped for selfies and video calls.

Storage configurations could extend up to 2TB, while charging speed is expected to remain around 40W.

A 2TB option would also help explain why the very top configuration of the iPhone 18 Pro Max could sit considerably above the entry model, although no storage-wise official pricing has been confirmed.

What buyers should take away from the early pricing

The emerging picture is of an iPhone 18 Pro generation that may become more expensive while concentrating its upgrades around processing power, cameras, connectivity and higher storage capacities.

The important figures for Indians are around Rs 1.44 lakh for the iPhone 18 Pro and Rs 1.55 lakh for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Even the top-of-the-line Pro Max model can reach close to Rs 1.70 lakh in some configurations.

The Dubai and USA estimates also look up. However, all these numbers are still preliminary and may be subject to change once the phones are launched. The prices mentioned in these reports have not been verified by Apple.
