RISA Labs, an AI-driven healthtech startup, has raised $11.1 million in a funding round co-led by Cencora Ventures and Optum Ventures. The company is focused on expanding its presence across the US healthcare system, with a specific emphasis on improving operational efficiency in cancer care delivery.

The funding round also saw participation from Oncology Ventures, Z21 Ventures, and John Simon of Ventureforgood. Existing investor Binny Bansal, co-founder of Flipkart, continued his backing in this round, underscoring ongoing confidence in the company’s direction and progress.

Building on last year’s seed round

The latest raise follows RISA Labs’ $3.5 million seed funding round in April last year. That round was led by Binny Bansal and other early-stage investors, enabling the company to advance product development and initiate early collaborations with healthcare providers.

Since the seed round, RISA Labs has focused on strengthening its platform capabilities and preparing for broader deployment across hospital systems and specialized cancer care networks.

Capital to support growth and wider adoption

RISA Labs plans to use the newly raised capital to scale its product development efforts, expand deployments with hospitals and cancer care networks, and support customer onboarding across the US healthcare ecosystem. The company aims to ensure its platform integrates smoothly with existing healthcare infrastructure while supporting large-scale operational requirements.

The focus remains on driving adoption without adding complexity for care teams, many of whom already operate under significant administrative and time pressures.

An AI operating system purpose-built for oncology

Founded in the United States by Kshitij Jaggi and Kumar Shivang, RISA Labs is developing an AI operating system designed specifically for cancer care. The platform is built to automate both clinical and administrative workflows within oncology, an area known for its fragmented processes and heavy coordination demands.

By reducing manual intervention across routine tasks, the platform helps healthcare providers streamline internal operations, improve collaboration among teams, and move patients through treatment pathways more efficiently.

Addressing the complexity of cancer care workflows

Oncology care involves some of the most complex workflows in healthcare. Providers must coordinate diagnostics, treatment planning, insurance approvals, and patient communication, often across multiple departments and external partners.

RISA Labs is targeting oncology providers that manage these intricate workflows on a daily basis. Its platform is designed to act as a central operational layer, helping providers manage information flow, task execution, and coordination more effectively across the cancer care journey.

Strong interest from healthcare-focused investors

The participation of Cencora Ventures and Optum Ventures reflects growing investor interest in AI-led infrastructure solutions for healthcare. Both investors bring deep domain expertise and strong connections within the US healthcare ecosystem, which align closely with RISA Labs’ focus on oncology operations.

Additional backing from Oncology Ventures and Z21 Ventures further highlights the platform’s relevance to specialized cancer care settings. Continued support from Binny Bansal signals long-term belief in the company’s vision and its founding team.

Founder-led focus on practical healthcare impact

Founders Kshitij Jaggi and Kumar Shivang have positioned RISA Labs around solving practical, real-world challenges faced by oncology providers. Rather than focusing on experimental use cases, the company emphasizes reliability, scalability, and alignment with existing clinical and administrative workflows.

Their approach centers on supporting healthcare teams by reducing operational friction, allowing clinicians and staff to dedicate more time and attention to patient care.

With this latest funding round, RISA Labs is set to accelerate its expansion across hospitals and cancer care networks in the United States. The investment strengthens the company’s ability to advance its AI-driven platform and play a growing role in modernizing how oncology operations are managed at scale.
