Pet healthcare startup Vetic has raised $40 million in a fresh funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, marking a significant capital push for the company as it expands its clinic network and broader healthcare services for pets.

The round also saw participation from existing investors Greenoaks Capital, Lachy Groom and JSW Family Office. Bessemer Venture Partners had backed Vetic in its earlier funding rounds as well.

The company plans to use the new capital to expand its clinic network, strengthen its veterinary workforce across both in-clinic and virtual care services, and deepen its insurance and wellness offerings. Vetic will also invest further in data and AI capabilities as it looks to improve how pet healthcare is delivered and managed across its platform.

A key part of the expansion plan is the national rollout of its Vet at Home service over the next two quarters. The service is aimed at making veterinary care more accessible for pet parents who prefer home-based consultations and treatment support.

Founded in 2022 by Gaurav Ajmera, Vetic operates an integrated pet healthcare platform that brings together clinics, emergency care, diagnostics, surgeries, at-home veterinary services, insurance and pet supplies. The company currently runs more than 65 clinics across 11 cities and serves over 60,000 subscribed members through its healthcare plans.

Vetic has positioned itself around a more structured approach to pet healthcare, an area that has often remained fragmented in India. Its platform is built to maintain longitudinal health records for pets and standardise care protocols across its network. The company has also integrated AI tools for triaging, veterinary diagnostics support and personalised care recommendations.

The latest fundraise comes at a time when India’s pet care market is seeing stronger investor interest. Rising pet ownership and higher spending on pet healthcare and wellness services are creating room for organised players to build wider service networks.

Several startups in the broader pet care space, including Heads Up For Tails, Supertails, Wiggles and Dogsee Chew, have raised capital as the ecosystem continues to grow.

Vetic has also reported strong revenue growth alongside its expansion. Its operating revenue rose 2.5 times to Rs 62.9 crore in FY25. Expenses, however, also increased as the company scaled, rising 63 percent to Rs 65.6 crore in FY25 from Rs 40.2 crore in the previous fiscal year.

The fresh funding gives Vetic more room to build its presence across India’s organised pet healthcare market, especially as pet parents look beyond one-time clinic visits and seek more continuous, preventive and accessible care options.
