OFFBEAT has raised ₹100 crore in a seed funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, according to a statement shared by boAt and OFF/BEAT Co-Founder and CMO Aman Gupta.
Gupta said the decision to raise capital was driven not by the need for funds, but by the need for the right strategic partners.
“Having built from scratch before, I know what capital can do and what it cannot,” he said, adding that this time the focus was on bringing in partners with a global perspective, especially to leverage technology and artificial intelligence.
He cited Bessemer Venture Partners’ global track record, referring to its association with companies such as Anthropic, Shopify, Canva and LinkedIn.
Gupta also highlighted the role of individuals including Anant and Vishal, stating that the partnership brings “speed, credibility, network, and strategic support”, factors he described as more valuable than capital alone.
In a personal note, Gupta said he chose to announce the funding on his wedding anniversary, comparing the process of onboarding investors to choosing a life partner.
“You need to get it right. You will live with them through the highs and the lows,” he said.
The funding marks an early-stage milestone for OFF/BEAT as it looks to build with a focus on technology and AI, backed by global institutional support.
