Curefoods, based in Bengaluru, has acquired the rights to franchise Krispy Kreme across India. This deal includes over 50 existing stores, with 11 located in the Delhi-NCR area. Curefoods is now entering North India. With this move, it has opened more than 100 Krispy Kreme outlets across the country.
Strategic Acquisition Details
Curefoods is buying Krispy Kreme from the Landmark Group. The deal includes both cash and shares. Landmark Hospitality Services has also invested an undisclosed amount in Curefoods’ recent $40 million fundraising round. Both Krispy Kreme’s strong brand and Curefoods’ operational expertise can leverage to grow business in this Indian food and beverage industry.
Expansion Plans and Vision
Curefoods plans to expand its network of cloud kitchens, which now has over 300 locations, to include Krispy Kreme. he company intends to create 25 separate Krispy Kreme restaurants and 100 more cloud kitchens by 2025. As a result, the brand will be more visible online on sites like Swiggy and Zomato.
Ankit Nagori, founder and CEO of Curefoods, said he was hopeful for the future of the business. He suggested that by 2025, Krispy Kreme’s sales growth would perhaps exceed 100 crore.
