In a significant step for India’s rapidly progressing edtech sector, Codeyoung has raised $5 million in its Series A funding round. The round was co-led by 12 Flags Group and Enzia Ventures, and also resulted in an exit for some of the startup’s early investors. For Codeyoung, this investment marks a major push toward expanding its global reach and enhancing the learning experience it delivers to young students.
A Push Toward Wider Global Impact
The infusion of funds is set to fuel Codeyoung’s global ambitions. The company aims to broaden its presence in international markets where demand for structured, personalized online learning continues to grow. A key part of its plan involves developing AI-driven personalization tools, designed to adapt lessons to each child’s individual learning needs. Alongside this, the startup is preparing to introduce new learning categories to strengthen its curriculum and offer students a wider range of skill-building opportunities.

Building a Platform Designed for Modern Learners
Founded in 2020 by Shailendra Dhakad and Rupika Taneja, Codeyoung offers live one-on-one online classes to students aged 5 to 17. The platform covers a mix of academic and skill-focused subjects including Coding, Math, English, Science, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and SAT Preparation.
It has been the company’s aim, right from the start, to build an educational environment that kids would be physically involved in, instead of just passively taking in the information. The teaching approach of Codeyoung is centered around students truly grasping the concepts, being clear on their concepts, and solving problems through practical methods, thus making students feel comfortable and creative in coming up with the new ideas.
A Growing Community of Young Learners
Codeyoung’s steady rise reflects the growing acceptance of personalized online learning. The company has delivered over 20 lakh hours of teaching, worked with more than 25,000 students, and now operates in 15 countries. These milestones show how quickly the platform has scaled while keeping its focus on individual attention.
The company also reports class completion rates above 80%, renewal rates over 60%, and an NPS above 65, figures that indicate strong student engagement and supportive feedback from families who continue with the platform.
Turning Screen Time Into Skill Time
A major part of Codeyoung’s identity lies in its belief that digital learning should feel personal, meaningful, and result-oriented. Instead of children spending hours in front of static screens, the platform’s one-on-one model encourages real-time interaction between learner and instructor.
Each session is designed to build confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving ability. With parents given full visibility into their child’s progress, the learning system stays transparent and accountable, giving families the reassurance that online learning is delivering real results.
Quality at the Heart of the Experience
Scaling personalized classes needs a system, and Codeyoung is all about high-quality at every level. To make sure every teacher is giving up-to-date and productive sessions, the platform carries out the selection of instructors in a very strict way and also provides focused training. Frequent evaluations of performance as well as easy communication with parents contribute to keeping this level intact while the firm expands.
The focus on quality of instruction has been one of the factors leading to high completion and renewal rates of the platform which is an indication that the families accept and appreciate both the experience and the tangible progress.
Preparing for a Bigger Stage
Codeyoung is going to a large expansion phase with its new financing. Part of its roadmap is boosting the global footprint, creating more personalized learning experiences on the platform, and slowly extending the learning categories to cover more student needs.
Expanding globally brings challenges, different learning styles, varied curriculum expectations, and time-zone coordination, but Codeyoung’s early traction positions it well to take on these complexities with a structured, student-first approach.
Moving Toward a More Personalized Learning Future
Codeyoung’s Series A funding round is not only a money milestone; it is a statement of the company’s resolve to continue making the process of learning more personal, engaging, and confidence-building for kids. The company, by mixing human teaching with some kind of technology, is designing a place where children can develop at their own level, and at the same time, acquire skills that are beyond the scope of the school curriculum.
With the worldwide digital learning trend still in motion, Codeyoung is still visible because of its emphasis on deliverables, student engagement, and a futuristic idea of empowering kids to learn confidently and creatively.
